Excellent work!

David Winchell first worked for us in 2000, and since then, he is the first person we call whenever we want an upgrade to our home. Most impressively, he created two matching furniture pieces to match a 10 year old dining set. The wood and finish are such a close match, it's impossible to think that the set wasn't purchased together. Every last detail is perfectly executed. What's most incredible is how David interpreted the chicken scratch of a drawing I offered and gave us great ideas about how to make our idea come to life. There were so many times that we just said, "tell us what you think will make this beautiful." We trusted what he offered -- and loved the end result. It's simply impossible to find anyone with a greater sense of integrity, more beautiful sense of artistry, or with a kinder spirit.

David Winchell is an extremely talented contractor. David's approach to doing work in your home is wonderful. He makes suggestions & includes the homeowner's preferences in the project. He is very conscientious of protecting the area in which he is working. David's carpentry craftmanship is outstanding. David made suggestions of companies that he has worked with that provided quality materials. We did a complete remodel of the shower bathroom. It is now my favorite room in the house. David needed to reinforce the flooring under the toilet due to prior leakage as well as reinforcing the woodwork behind the wall board in order to accommodate the new shower fixtures. David's team of plumbers, painters, installers, sealers ... were very professional & very talented in their area of expertise. In addition to the bathroom - we had the bedroom ceilings repaired & the foundation cracks in the living room repaired and painted. We were so impressed with the plumbers - that we had cut off valves & other modifications done both inside & outside the house. We were equally impressed with David's communication. He would email or text so that we were aware of the time frames of when the work would be provided. We are extremely satisfied with the outstanding craftmanship of Winchell Woodworking.

About 7 years ago, David had retrofitted an entertainment center that used to hold one of the old 55 inch rear projection TVs to hold and frame a 55in flat screen TV. He constructed a beautiful custom frame to perfectly fit the new TV as well as an internal support system with a backing board to hold the TV's mount. Recently that flat screen TV broke and we purchased a new one, unfortunately it was sever inches deeper than the previous TV so it was protruding out of the cabinet. I called David to see if he could make the necessary adjustments to the supporting structure so the TV would once again fit. David told me exactly when he would be available and was very good at keeping me up to date on his arrival. Once at my home David and his partner assessed what adjustment would be required and made the changes in about 30 minutes. When I asked him how much it would be, he said no charge and thanked my wife and I for being good customers. Now that is the kind of customer service we all wish we got from our providers. I called to schedule a quote, left a message and no one returned my call.

We initially used David to do a complete redesign and remodel of our master bathroom. Realized he is highly skilled and a perfectionist. We have since used him for a variety of other jobs from installing proper venting for our dryer to assisting with recommendations for the painting of six rooms in our home to kitchen cabinet hinge repairs to picture hanging. There isn’t a job he hasn’t been able to complete. He is truly a "Jack of All Trades and a Master of Everything!

Dave arrived right at 8:00 am as scheduled! He was able to adjust the cabinet above the refrigerator without removing the whole row of cabinet. It now fits perfectly under the cabinet and gives me so much more room in my galley kitchen! I highly recommend Dave for your woodworking needs!

Dave did a great job with trimming the cabinet above the refrigerator so the refrigerator could easily fit underneath the cabinet. He was professional, courteous and you could tell that he takes pride in his work. I am very happy with the outcome of the job.

We hired Dave to replace our outdated kitchen. Dave's response time and punctuality are great, he came and provided some great design ideas that we hadn't thought of previously that really made the end result over the top. The entire process was painless and done in a very prompt manner, I was very impressed with the tidiness of the work that was completed and the time spent on attention to details. After the job was done, I also asked Dave to make an additional piece of stone for us and it was made very quickly and dropped off with personal instructions on how to treat and protect the stone for use. Don't hesitate to give them a call, you won't be disappointed

I am incredibly grateful for Dave! We've had a wonky drawer in our rental for over a year, and he came to our rescue when the management company just wouldn't fix it. It went very well by fixing my kitchen drawer. This is the second time we used Dave services for Kitchen drawer repair and Dave is very professional and ensures that the job is done right the first time.

In June 2019, I hired Dave to fix a leak and repair ceiling drywall that was damaged by the leak. I moved the majority of my dining/living room into the garage and boxed up personal items. After the plumber reviewed and repaired where he thought the leak was coming from, he advised the ceiling be left open to ensure the leak had been fixed. Although I relayed this to Dave, he closed up the ceiling and repaired and painted the drywall. This particular tub is not used on a daily basis and, six months later in December 2019, I noticed water stains on the ceiling again that were coming from the tub. I let Dave know this had happened and he offered to send the plumbers back out. I couldn't take their house call due to coming down with the flu; but then later, after realizing 1) the repair was closed up too soon and 2) it was not the plumber's fault, the plumber and I would be rehashing the whole scenario again. The drywall would need to be cut out and the ceiling opened back up to fix the leak, as well as moving furniture and boxing up items again. This was not something I looked forward to doing after putting my house back together and during the winter. Then Dave let me know that I paid for a temporary fix and would need to tear out the entire bath to ensure a more permanent fix. This was not an option originally presented by him. The hire was to fix the leak...period. Bottom line is I paid $3251 for a repair that was not fixed. I would never pay this amount of money for a temporary fix and water stains to return on the ceiling in 6 months time.

Not Just a Remodeler…………A TRUE TRADESMAN! We hired David Winchell to remodel our master bathroom. Most recently, he installed proper venting for our dryer that wasn’t functional due to the deck builder covering the original vent outlet. We had seen David’s work at a friend’s house and were very impressed with the high quality of his workmanship. We knew our bathroom project would be challenging as we gutted the whole area and redesigned the entire layout. All of the plumbing and electrical were relocated to different places from the original design. David custom built our cabinets which are gorgeous. He takes pride in his work and doesn’t call the job complete until everything is perfect. He spent numerous days working in our home. Every day when he left, his work area was spotless which helped keep down the dust that could have spread to the other areas of our home. What we didn’t expect was his keen eye for design, color combinations and attention to the smallest detail. David is a very skilled craftsman which has become a dying breed so we felt quite lucky to have discovered him!

Service was excellent. They promptly came out to check out the leak and identify the source. Then they assigned the appropriate skilled specialists to make the repairs - plumbers, plasterboard work, and painters. The tradesmen were extremely good. They allowed time for all wet wood to dry before closing up the ceiling, thus minimizing any opportunity for later hidden mold growth.
