"Scheduling, design and installation all handled in a pleasant and professional manner. The end results look great, and the price reasonable. We had a shelving unit installed in our linen closet, shelving added to our basement stairwell and a slat wall on the other side for hanging things on."

"I had Zach and his team design and install closet systems for my new construction home. Zach was great to work with - he made helpful recommendations and turnaround time on the closet designs was quick. Communication was excellent throughout the process. The installers were all friendly and professional. I highly recommend!"

Customers say: Quick response

"This was a closet update with double hung bars for clothings and shelves for shoes, sweaters and sweatshirts. The design was tricky since air contitioning vents run thru this area so we had to accommodate them. Staci created a space that accommodates everything that was in the closet before, as well as some items that were in a separate closet. I'm very please with the design."

Customers say: True professional

"Ultrasource Performance made going from our old crusty bathroom to our brand new dream bathroom a breeze. Step 1. Put in an Ang's list request, Step 2. receive a phone call from the captain Frank, Step 3. pick out your tile and paint color and in about 2 weeks your kids will be taking a bath with dignity. Special thanks to Frank, Miguel & Jason on this project. True statesmen of their craft and wonderful to work with. My suggestion is accept their bid and don't look back. Thanks Ultrasource Performance!"

Closets questions, answered by experts

Costs depend on material type, size, and additional features like lighting or sliding doors.

You can design your own closet, but it’s usually better to hire a professional to do the work for you. Not only will you get years of design experience to guide you toward the right layout and material choices, but you’ll also only pay slightly more hiring a professional than you would creating your own plans and hiring a carpenter. A high-quality closet designer can provide insight into how to lay out your closet, and they may be able to find you a good deal on the carpentry or complete the work using an affordable, in-house team.

The differences between a built-in closet and a walk-in aren’t that different from a built-in wardrobe and a walk-in closet. It’s fairly simple—a walk-in closet is a closet you can physically enter, stand in, and walk around in. A built-in (whether wardrobe or closet) is more akin to covered shelves installed into a recess in the wall. Another big difference is walk-in closets almost always have traditional full-size doors, while built-ins either have no doors or use sliding doors.

Built-in furniture maximizes space, offers a tailored look, and enhances room functionality.

When storing your clothes long-term, first consider the container's breathability. While plastic bags, cardboard boxes, or vacuum sealing may be great options for short-term storage, they won’t help your clothes hold up in the long term. Breathable plastic boxes and fabric bags help with airflow, prevent mold or mildew from building up, and allow proper airflow.
