"I hired Fox Window Tints to remove and replace the window tint in my master bathroom. When they arrived they quickly realized the old adhesive was very strong and a huge pain to remove. Despite this, the team kept a very positive attitude and very diligently removed every piece of pesky old window tint. I love the end result and will definitely hire them again! Thank you!"

"First, I'd like to say that the installer was great! He was friendly, respectful or me, my cats, and everything in my house, cleaned up after himself, explained everything well, and even spent a few extra minutes talking to me about other products, and would have gladly kept going until I told him to go enjoy his family time. It is obvious he likes what he does. Additionally, the work he did was also great. I love the way the end product looks. It's not as bold of a mirror effect outside as I expected, which is a good thing, because I was worried it would bounce the sun over to my neighbors across the street. I could not be more pleased. There is nothing I would change about how things went. After such a great experience, I immediately requested and accepted a quote for my outside windows to be cleaned next week and I'm confident another great review awaits. I'm NOT easy to please in an age where customer service and follow through is so weak in so many companies, so a strong review like this from me, think of it as a 10 star rating because this was just flawless."

"The handyman, Paul, was punctual, professional and did quality work. He replaced the small section of my wood soffit that had water damage with new wood, painted it and caulked. He cleaned up the area when he was done. Paul also re-secured several of my window shutters that had loose screws. He spray painted the screw caps to match the color of my shutters."

Window Tinting questions, answered by experts

Most installations take 1-3 days, depending on the number and size of windows.

DIY is possible, but professional application ensures even adhesion, bubble-free results, and longer-lasting performance.

The most popular way to remove home window tint is by using a hairdryer. Most people already have one in their home, but if you don’t, you can buy one for as little as $15. All you need to do is turn the hairdryer to its hottest and highest setting and run it over the window tint for a few minutes. Then, you can easily peel it away. You may need some goo remover for any leftover adhesive, but this DIY could be free for many people.

Cellular shades, also known as honeycomb shades, are the most energy-efficient and insulating window treatments. Their honeycomb structure is made of soft fabric that forms layered cell pockets. These pockets trap air, creating a thermal barrier that reduces heat loss in the winter and blocks heat gain in the summer. For even greater insulation, consider double- or triple-cell varieties. Side-tracked cellular shades, which seal the edges of the window frame, can further minimize air leaks and maximize energy efficiency.

The visibility through tinted house windows depends on the lighting. During the day, when it is brighter outside, privacy film prevents people from seeing into your home. However, this effect reverses at night. If you have lights on inside, it becomes brighter indoors than outdoors, allowing people to see inside. To optimize privacy, you can select from various shades of film, ranging from lighter to darker, which affects how much is visible from the outside.
