"When you hire an electrician, you’re usually bracing yourself for the worst. Enter Cash Electric. I hired them to install a new electrical panel and rewire a few chaotic circuits, and they did a phenomenal job. My breaker box went from a nest of copper snakes to pure, organized wire-art symmetry. Everything runs flawlessly now. I could power a small rocket launch from my garage and my lights wouldn't even flicker. Beyond the top-tier craftsmanship, their crew showed up right on time, worked fast, and left the place spotless. Plus, not to make things weird, but I’m pretty sure their crew could easily pull off moonlighting as Chippendales. Let’s just say they make safety gear look exceptionally good. Zero complaints, zero hassle. 10/10 would recommend."

"Apex installed a Whole Farm generator for my horse farm. They were very professional when they came to determine the size generator I needed and the quote was quite reasonable. The installation and hook up was completed in a timely manner. I now have peace of mind knowing that in the event of a power outage I can still provide excellent care to my horses. I will certainly be contacting Apex for my future electrical projects."

"Sparky Electric was very professional and did a great job with the new outlets and light/vent fan installation. Terry was great to work with and took the time to make sure everything was to my liking and was very capable of the work he performed. I would highly recommend this professional if you are looking for electrical work that has to be done right."

"I spoke to this company over the phone that told them that I was looking for somebody to trace my household telephone lines. I have a short somewhere and I would like to find somebody that could find it and rewire the telephone system to bypass the short. This company does do that type of work and didn't know of anybody that did."

Generator Install questions, answered by experts

You can expect a diesel generator to last for up to 30,000 hours of use, which works out to 20 to 25 years with the proper maintenance, of course. That depends on how much you use it, so a diesel generator used for emergencies a couple of times a year will last a lot longer than a generator that takes over for a faulty electrical grid every month for a day or two.

Yes, natural gas generators can work without electricity. Natural gas generators are a common type of backup or whole-house generator that operates when the electrical grid isn’t working. The trick is using a transfer switch (which usually needs to be installed with the generator) that safely switches the home electrical system from the power grid to generator power when needed.

A home that is 2,500 square feet will likely need a 20kW to 25kW generator. Consult your local generator installer to confirm the generator size needed to power your home before purchasing a new one. Be sure to consider how much power your necessary devices need to run.

Yes. You can connect your home back-up battery to a generator with its designated charger. Be sure that the output of the generator matches the input requirements for the battery for best results.

You can determine what size generator you need for a transfer switch by matching the switch to the largest outlet on your generator. Larger generators can power up to 10 circuits, while most 5,000-watt generators can provide power to six circuits. So, if your generator’s largest outlet is 30 amps, you’ll need a 30-amp transfer switch.
