Out of many contractors I called to get an estimate, he was the only one willing to provide options to have the project fit our budget. Once we agreed to move forward, he worked diligently with the architect and village to get the permits finalized (which is a difficult task in my town). Once the work started, he provided almost daily updates of the work that will be completed and any anticipated inspections (which we passed easily). He also reached out himself to finalize details from big items like windows to small ones like the molding. The result was a beautiful sunroom and deck which I receive compliments on regularly. "We met with Charlie Murphy several times to discuss the possibility of using Icon Building Group to build our house. Charlie was concerned that they would not live up to our high expectations. In the end, they not only met our expectations, they exceeded them. Icon assembled a talented team to execute the building of our house. They selected a group of subcontractors that had the necessary talents and attention to detail to be able to execute the detailed design that we entrusted to them. The efforts of the subcontractors were carefully guided by our superintendent, Mike P. In the office, Shawna H. did a great job navigating our project thru the challenging City review process. We had several challenges during the project, and the Icon team dealt with them in a positive manner. "The contracted the work off to a third party. Jon took longer than expected. The windows was installed pretty good from the looks. Communication could have been better with knowing the job will take longer and what types of trims I wanted for the windows. As the contractor that was hired for this job by this company. Did a good job with putting up decent trim. As for the new windows they look great. I purchased the myself and hired sentri homes to install them. I will need to have a my siding on my house redone to be closer to the new windows so the gaps are not so obvious. That was not expected at first. But from old storm windows and not knowing how they were put in originally. There was some unknown things that was learned from the job being completed. I will have the siding of the house slightly done to match really good for what I wanted later on. My only concern is better communication with sentri homes. Overall they were great when I did talk to them."

"JCB does excellent work, they are quality craftsmen. They do the work quickly but thoroughly. Jack is one of the most trustworthy person that I have found in the building/service industry. Jack will problem-solve and guide us as needed but never "up-sells" unnecessarily. And JCB is a full-service contractor. Recently, they painted, replaced all the rotting wood on the exterior of our house, among other things. In the past, they have replaced a wall damaged by a water leak, refinished our basement and painted the entire interior of our house. I trust them implicitly."

"Paul gave us an estimate shortly after we requested one.  We had recently had asbestos vinyl tile and mastic removed from our basement, and in the process had to remove a built-in bench which left the lower
part of an otherwise paneled wall exposed.  Another wall had paneling that was mismatched from top to bottom.
Also we have a staircase with vinyl asbestos tile that we wanted to cover.   We wanted to install ceramic tile on the basement floor, but were unsure what to do to fix the walls and stairs.
Paul told us "everything is possible" when we asked him what we could do to repair the wall and cover the stairs.  Paul suggested that he would install oak treads and risers on our staircase up to the kitchen.   This was a unique and welcome
suggestion as we had heard many others but did not feel satisfied with any of them.  He told us he could fix the walls and do the tiling as well.   His estimate was timely and detailed.  We liked the price so we went with his team. 
They were punctual, professional, and made our basement walls and staircase beautiful!  He repaired both walls so that they both look better than they ever had.  The wall where the bench was removed ran short of panels, so Paul and his team took a small,under-the-staircase door made of the same material to finish the wall.  They replaced the door so that it works better than the old one and looks good.  The tile has brightened up the whole room and the baseboards and moulding have finished the look so we feel we have a new living space.  The staircase is beautiful!  We love our basement now!  Paul and his team went above our expectations, and we would hire them again for sure.

"We originally hired Peter to do the design only. We selected him over other architects and are pleased with the design. He listened to our ideas and provided very practical solutions and helped us with zoning variances. During the design phase, they added "and Builders" to their services. We selected Idea over a lower bid because of our good experience with Peter. The build is in progress and the sub-contractors are profession and do quality work. I will update this report when the build portion is complete."
