"That's my "concrete stamped and decorative walk" the right. Project was completed Apr. 2024 and my original review would have been 5 stars. I need to upload a "now" picture. By early summer we started getting cracks. Contacted Joe and asked him to come by and look at it, and he said it was too hot to repair concrete. Texted him again late fall and he'd had surgery. Then early Spring I texted him again twice with no response! Since there was no warranty I honestly didn't expect him to fix the cracks, but he's the expert and I wanted him to look at it and recommend a sealer, crack filler, or whatever we needed to get! There are at least six cracks now, two that will cause corners to chip away. Two stars is being pretty generous at this point!"

Generally, a wall can bow up to 30% of its thickness, or around 2.5 inches for an 8-inch-thick structure, before it becomes an urgent situation. If your basement wall bows more than 1 inch, it's time to have a basement inspection to determine if a repair is necessary, depending on the soil conditions and structural specifics. Newly poured concrete is prone to small, fine cracks within the first 30 days of installation, but most noticeable cracks will disappear within that time frame. If a crack is greater than 1 inch, consider contacting the person who installed your wall to inspect the job.  

With proper installation and sealing, both poured concrete and cinder block walls can be durable options for your yard or home. Poured concrete walls do offer more durability and strength, but cinder block walls are less expensive to build and DIY. A concrete wall costs an average of $6,500.

Most of the time, you or your contractor will spray the concrete form and framework with a release agent or oil to prevent sticking. This is common practice with wood and steel forms. For insulated concrete forms, the styrofoam formwork often remains in place after construction, so you don’t need to treat it beforehand. Foam concrete forms made out of melamine also may not need treatment beforehand, as the material naturally won’t stick to the concrete after it’s cured.

While fumigation chemicals cannot pass through solid objects, they will seep into any openings in walls, doors, or other closed spaces. This allows them to get into tight places where pests may be hiding and causing damage, like termites ruining the foundation of your home. It also means that your home needs to ventilate for 48 hours before returning to ensure that no harmful chemicals remain in your space.
