His team completed our renovation on time, kept the workspace clean, and communicated with us every step of the way. "Kevin and his dad did a great job of planting 5 Yews for me and laying down new mulch. Kevin was very quick to reply to my phone calls super courteous and very easy to work with. I live in an HOA community and took this project on myself at my own cost. I discussed all this with Kevin and I feel he gave me more than a fair price for the work that he did. I would definitely hire him again. Thanks Patty"

"Carlos was absolutely amazing! Not only did he do a great job cutting my lawn, he also listened to some of my other landscaping concerns/wishes, came up w/ a plan, and worked w/ me to get it all figured out financially. He’s as good as it gets, and doesn’t cost as much as other reputable landscape companies. Thanks again, Carlos!"

Architects questions, answered by experts

Finding an architect for your project demands looking at the professional’s past work, speaking with prior clients to see what their experience was like, and discussing your project and vision with the expert to see what kind of input they have. Look for an architect that gets excited about your project or has experience with similar projects.

Most Greek Revival architecture homes are one and a half to two stories, depending on the footprint, which sets them apart from some Federal architecture homes that are three stories. The gabled roof on the second floor can sometimes cut into the living space, especially on smaller homes of this style, which leaves a much smaller living area upstairs.

You should have an architect involved in your project from the very beginning. They’ll be able to direct your vision into workable plans, and they can advise you on potential problems right from the start. You may be able to save money by not using an architect, but larger projects will go much more smoothly with an experienced pro directing the process.

Check reviews, compare quotes, and verify licensing. Ensure the builder has experience with modular construction.

Some homes, like those with flat roofs, may not have eaves at all. Some contemporary-style homes also lack eaves, although many may have abbreviated eaves to divert water and protect the walls and foundation. Homes without eaves often have specific types of gutters affixed directly to the edge of the roof to provide adequate drainage.
