"They had the whole tree taken down within the afternoon. The tree was surrounded by power lines, which no other tree service could handle with the equipment they had. They pulled out the remaining roots that would've damaged our newly paved driveway . We also were very satisfied with their landscaping . Highly recommended! They will be the first to call if we need any work done."

"My new home had four 85 ft tall trees branching over top of my entire house. I called the local tree experts for a quote; due to the closure of the Il hwy 17 Lacon bridge and as a non-commercial job I could not get a quote to remove the trees until I called AJC home services. I had no idea what type of service to expect. Ben, of AJC, quoted the job & promptly arrived on site. During the two days the team worked in high humidity 90° heat I was informed and consulted throughout the process by the most courteous crew. The trees were carefully removed and placed on the ground piece by piece. Nothing was damaged. They used mats under the boom truck to protect my lawn and they used a leaf blower to remove tihe sawdust from the roof of my house when done. Excellent five-star, world-class work. Iâ d recommend AJC to anyone, everyone."

"When disaster struck our house, Robert and Right Way Tree and Outdoor Services was there when we needed them most. Within an hour his crew was there, removed the tree from our home, and had us patched up. They even helped us through the claim process to get it approved through our insurance. Best service I've EVER seen!"

"Contacted Angie and the Tree Surgeon was the only provider listed. The 2 trees are located in my in my neighbor's yard and we agreed to share the cost of $4,500 because we both share the issues of the trees. We also agreed that the trees did not need to be cut to the ground. The crew was here 11/14 and became apparent the equipment brought was not sufficient to safely remove 1 tree. The provider stated he needed a tree climber to get to taller limbs. The crew was back on 11/16 but there were issues that day and didn't finish with 1 tree. They returned on 11/20 and were able to complete the job of one tree and promised to return to complete the 2nd tree but there has been no further contact with provider since then. Each day they were here, the crew did clean up branches and limbs and those were removed by provider."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

Most experts recommend removing a tree that has sustained more than 25% loss in the limbs, trunk, or circumference of the bark. Doing an initial trimming of damaged and dangling branches, but then waiting a few days of monitoring to decide how much more you might need to cut can help you better assess the total damage to the tree. However, consulting a tree maintenance pro to make this determination the best course of action before removing a tree.

The best time to transplant a tree is when it is dormant. For many trees, this means either in the fall after the leaves have dropped (around October or November) or in early spring before new growth begins (around March). The ideal timing can depend on the type of tree. Deciduous trees do well when moved in early spring or fall, while evergreens are best transplanted in early spring or late summer. For example, pine trees are best moved in early fall, but maples prefer late fall. Avoid transplanting in winter, as the frozen or hard, cold soil poses a significant risk to the roots and prevents the tree from acclimating properly.

Some people prefer to leave or even carve a leftover stump, but we recommend removing it if possible. You can often dig out smaller trunks with a shovel once they have died and dried out. You can have stumps professionally removed, or request a service to grind them down to ground level so they can be replaced with other landscaping or objects.

Professionals use assessments, strategic cuts, specialized equipment, and safety measures to ensure healthy growth or the safe removal of trees or shrubs.

Yes, pruning makes trees stronger because it fosters proper growth, weight distribution, and balance of the crown. By increasing the structural integrity of the tree through pruning, it’s less likely to experience disease, pests, broken limbs, and storm damage. Pruning the right branches and limbs is key to improving a tree’s strength and balance.
