"Needing a quick repair after some lighting installation - Mike was quick to respond to my request. He explained the entire process thoroughly from start to finish; he communicated clearly to set expectations prior to repair. He arrived promptly to start the work and kept the work area clean. Drywall is an art and Mike surely possesses the finesse for a perfect repair. His patch installation was flawless; I hardly had to do any sanding / touch up once dried and prior to painting. He even added a few pointers to ensure a perfect final result. He was very courteous, informative, and quite the perfectionist - he definitely exceeded my expectations and did an excellent job . "This company is not one I would use or recommend again. They replaced my roof 5 years ago. When I was getting quotes I wanted and asked for my entire roof replaced. The price was similar to other quotes I got and went with them. On my receipt it states very clearly complete roof replacement. Well 5 years later and I have leaking and apparently they only replaced the part of my roof where I have shingles. I have two windows that are flat with a black material on top. They went over the item list with me recently to prove they did not replace that, however my issue is I asked for my entire roof to be replaced. Since they were up there and working it would only make sense to do the entire thing. THey should have included that in the quote and I would have had it done. How am I suppose to know from an item list what is needed to replace what on my roof. That is an absolute ridiculous excuse and I would make sure you know exactly what you are getting with them. I missed out going with other companies would would have replaced 100% of my roof and not 95 % of it."

Some cracking in bricks is normal, such as when a foundation settles. Keep a watchful eye though, and alarm bells should start ringing if new cracks appear or existing cracks lengthen or widen. Temperature changes, moisture, and structural loading can all contribute to cracks in bricks either starting or getting worse.

Yes, you can limewash surfaces other than brick. Plaster, stone, stucco, and concrete can all also be limewashed. Any porous surface that will absorb the wash is a good candidate for limewash, although it won’t help much with waterproofing. If you choose to limewash over paint, you’ll need to prep before applying it to avoid a powdery, chalky finish. Shiny surfaces like metal or glass can’t absorb limewash, so it’s not suited for these.

A mason lays brick or stone together, sometimes with mortar in between the bricks and stones, and sometimes without mortar, also called a dry-stack or surface bonding. Examples of work masons do include:

A home with traditional brick construction is more durable than a stick-built home, as the double-layer brick walls and rebar resist higher lateral wind loads and support heavier loads up top, as well.
