"Flo arrived on time as scheduled for the project. All necessary supplies were on hand. He and his associate worked smoothly together. The project consisted of replacing 11 steps and risers and all stair trim. Flo completed the carpentry part in one day. His painters came the next day and applied 2 coats of paint. The porch looks great. The project price was fair and competitive. Not only are we 100% satisfied with Osman Carpentry, but we are scheduled to have them complete another 3 projects for us and probably a 4th project after that. You will be glad you hired them. It was a pleasure doing business with them."

"I strongly recommend this contractor. Jason is very thoughtful, skilled, and deeply cares about producing high quality work, while also being mindful of costs and deadlines. Jason has advised me several times, explaining the technical issues that arose each time and the possible solutions. His advice has spanned everything from dealing with insurance and suppliers, to suggesting service providers and solutions for work that he does not do himself. He has always been transparent and helpful along the way, and able to come up with clever solutions to address the challenges that arose along the way. In a business that relies in no small part on trust and where clients are at a knowledge disadvantage, I felt that I could fully trust Jason and his crew and I've learned a lot in the process."

"Overall Builders and its owner Robert were fantastic. Easy to work with, extremely accommodating, competitive pricing and the quality of work was superb! The tile pattern we chose was extremely challenging and Victor, Robert's tile guy, nailed it! We will, absolutely, use Overall Bulders for all our home remodel/repair needs in the future!"

"Marcia was our designer, and she was wonderful to work with! Professional from the start, flexible, and always receptive and responsive. The installers were great as well, always arriving within the designated window. They were also professional and friendly! We can't wait to do our pantry and nursery closet! We will definitely be using Closet OS again! Thank you for transforming our rooms and giving us great storage space!"

Carpentry questions, answered by experts

While framing a basement is not as difficult as finishing a basement, it's something you should typically leave to the pros. That’s because if something is installed correctly, it will affect your entire basement. However, you can take care of some of the smaller tasks, like filling holes or putting up some insulation.

Framing a house with steel generally takes less time—around five to eight weeks—than most building materials. The steel components can also be made quickly off-site and manufactured with pre-punched holes for running piping and electrical wiring, which will lessen the prep work and extra labor during construction.

There are both temporary and permanent ways to enclose a carport. If you’re looking to enclose your carport for the winter, a canvas enclosure could do the trick. It won’t be as protective as a permanent structure, but it can offer some protection from elements like snow, rain, and wind. For a permanent enclosure, you can add extra walls, add a new vertical roof, or a lean-to addition on one side of the structure.

Begin by analyzing the blueprints and gathering the proper materials before framing a house. With the prep stages behind you, begin by framing the floor of a house on the newly set foundation. Exterior and interior walls come next, along with rough openings for doors and windows. Contractors will then add ceiling and roof rafters to finish things off.

Costs depend on desk size, labor, included features like drawers or motorized height adjustments, and required wall anchoring.
