"The problem turned out to be a burned out small electric door switch. I believe the price was way too expensive for the service performed and the price of the door switch. What more can I say? It got done."

"1 word. Professionalism. These guys came out and rolled out the red carpet literally .. they laid down protection for my floors, and my walls. My contractor refused to bring in the appliances because he said there was no way anyone would get the refrigerator in without causing damages.. these guys simply said challenge accepted. Not a scratch on my floor or bump against myth walls or doors. Everything was installed and leveled to perfection, everything was tested before they left. I would recommend them to anyone, and I tell my friends and family to only use them. Thank you guys for all your help."

"Brad was great to work with. I explained what I wanted to do and he worked to give me exactly what I wanted and pointed out potential issues and how we can resolve them. The work was completed in a timely manner and he kept the working area as clean as possible while working. The price was very fair and I look forward to having Brad back for more home improvement projects."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

Most upgrades take 1-5 days, depending on building size and wiring complexity.

Local building codes typically require conduit around exterior wiring. Conduit protects the wire from moisture, extreme temperatures, sun exposure, and harsh weather conditions to prolong its lifespan. When a wire is worn out, it can be dangerous as the risk of electric shock or fire increases.

If your outlet needs to be reset multiple times, you likely have a problem with the outlet, the reset button, the wiring, or its connected circuit breaker. If the reset button doesn’t work and the circuit breaker isn’t the issue, it’s likely a problem with the outlet or the reset button it’s attached to.

A light switch should be at least 2 inches from the edge of the trim of a door. The location of wall studs will often help determine where to put the light switch by your doorway, and in most cases, wall studs make it impossible to install the switch closer than 2 inches. When possible, try to keep the switch within arm’s length of the entryway.

The wrong-sized wire can lead to several safety hazards, including structural fires, surges, power outages from tripped breakers, and electrocution. It’s important to follow the American Wire Gauge system and the National Electrical Code guidelines to safely wire a home. Electrical wiring is not safe for homeowners to handle and is best left to a licensed electrician.
