"Very well. The window was ready for installation in 4 weeks (they did put on a rush for us). The crew was on time, the installation went smooth and the crew did a good job cleaning up afterwards. The windows on either side of the bay open, and we had one issue with the right side window catching on a metal tab before it opened completely. We called Excel and they returned to evaluate and correct the problem within a week."

Wood clapboard siding needs frequent sealing to keep it in top condition—likely every two to three years. A sealant helps protect it from both moisture and sunlight damage. More durable woods in milder climates may not need to be sealed quite as often.

To calculate how much siding you need for exterior walls, first measure the height and width of the rectangular walls. For the triangular gable walls, measure the width and then the height from the ground to the tallest gable point.
