"Dimitri did a very good job on our hallway. He managed to paint a very tight corner without getting any grey paint on our newly installed white trim. He has a very steady hand with the brush. The grey paint did bleed through the tape onto the baseboard trim in a couple locations but he made certain to repaint the trim and not just leave it up to us to fix. "I called on Friday to inquire about an estimate; Mike came Monday afternoon to give us a quote and repair the roof. Given the number of competitors that don't even call back, I was impressed with their prompt response. We knew we had some shingles that had blown off and we knew there was a leak around the vent for the furnace, but we trusted Mike to inspect the rest of the roof and make these and any additional necessary repairs. He found several more problem areas than we were aware of and also identified a few ways in which our roof was installed improperly, which likely led to the shingles blowing off. He seemed quite knowledgable and gave us an honest assessment of our roof (which wasn't great news). He offered ballpark quotes on both cost and timeframe for repairing vs. replacing the roof so we could make a more informed decision. In the end, we decided to repair for now and replace at some point in the future. We will have Mike come back to give an official estimate when we are ready to replace the entire roof, but we will also get some estimates from competitors (which we didn't do for this repair; we just wanted it fixed quickly). We felt like the cost of the repair might have been a bit high considering that the work was completed with only 2-3 hours of labor. "

"I hired the company to do a make ready [clean up & prep] on a single apartment in a building which I own in the town where I live. I needed the property to be cleaned up so I could rent it again. I have been a landlord for over 20 years & hadn't found a vacated property in such a mess in all my years. They did the complete interior clean-up which took about five hours. And, the complete prep of the property. they took out all the trash & junk, and cleaned up all debris left in the yard. They did such a great job with that I decided to use them for the yard maintenance also. They cleaned all my flowerbeds & got them ready for spring, placed mulch & trimmed the shrubs and flowering trees. On the inside they made everything look brand new! Cleaning the walls, painting, cleaned the carpets & stripped & polished the wood floors...making them look brand new. The appliances that stayed were cleaned inside & out. To top it all off they even gave the bathrooms a fresh clean look by putting a new caulk seal around the tubs, sinks & shower...which gave the bathrooms a fresh face. As long as you follow the instructions on your peel-and-stick tile packaging, it should not damage your walls. A possible instance when you may accidentally damage your walls is if you install tiles improperly using additional adhesives that aren’t recommended.
Also, you can damage your walls if you’re not careful when removing tile. For example, you could accidentally make holes in the drywall with a paint scraper if you don’t heat the adhesive long enough before trying to pry it off.
Tile—specifically smaller, mosaic-style tiles—is the best type of flooring for building a walk-in shower base. Shower pans come with a threshold and sidewalls to contain the water, but tile can be set into the shower base. This creates a walk-in shower floor that gently slopes toward the drain to keep water from getting out and into the rest of the bathroom.
Glass tiles are among the most difficult to install. This is because their transparency makes the adhesive visible, and any imperfections on the opposite side are also likely to be visible. Glass tiles also must be handled carefully during installation, as they are prone to scratching. For these reasons, glass tiles often require professional installation to get the most out of their beauty and unique look.
Using caulk is one of the simplest and most recommended methods to finish glass tile edges. It creates an elegant seam between the glass tile and the adjacent area, along with a waterproof seal. With this method, you want to use a caulk color that matches the grout and, along with the grout, compliments the tile. Make sure the caulk line is smooth and even. Alternatively, you can use a bullnose or tile trimming to edge, however, that will also require caulk to seal.
You can technically install tile over tile, but we don’t suggest it. Installing tile over any surface that isn’t a completely flat and prepared subfloor will result in a shoddy overall job, uneven flooring, tiles that don’t adhere, extra weight, gaps, cracks, and room for moisture and dirt to enter. For the best results, only install new tile on a flat, sanded surface like subflooring or concrete that is prepared for tile.
If you have asbestos tile and would rather tile over it than remove it, or if your existing tile is completely flat and bonded tightly to the floor, you may be able to tile over existing tile. But experts recommend thinking twice before you do.
