"I live in OFallon, Il. this business is in Marion, Il. which is over 1 1/2 hr away. The gentleman was very kind in suggesting I try a closer service, but said to call him back if I could not find anyone else, that he would be glad to help me out. However, at this time he was filled up with jobs to do in his area. Not a good match by, but nice try. appreciate , and 360 Fencing LLC. thank you both."

Brady is the best you'll ever find for home remodeling projects.
Showed up on time. Took the time to make ever job right.
Projects were worked on over a number of months, one at a time.

The best and most honest tradesmen I've ever found.
We moved to Texas in January of 2014.  We whish Brady could have come with us.
I've found some good (and bad) people to work on the Texas home.  But no one who comes close to the quality of work done by Brady Brower.

"Everything about Billy and his crew at pick 6 carpentry was spot on excellence. They went way out of their way to help get this job finished and even worked in the rain, I couldn't be more happy with this company. They even helped with a few other things which they didn't have to do, very dedicated and professional, im so happy I went with this company, great group of guys! Thank you to Billy and his crew and to Angi. If 10 stars were available they'd get it!"

Fencing questions, answered by experts

In most cases, installing a vinyl fence will increase your property value. Not only do buyers typically like the appearance of vinyl fences, but they will also recognize that it adds security and privacy to your home and yard, which can also mean greater peace of mind and enjoyment of the space. Vinyl fences can also improve your home’s curb appeal, attracting more buyers and potentially offering more for your home.

Whether you need a permit to build or install a fence depends on several factors, including your location, the fence's height, its placement in your yard, and the materials used. In many cities and highly populated areas, a permit is required, especially for fences taller than 6 feet. Conversely, rural areas may have fewer restrictions. Typically, backyard privacy fences 6 feet or shorter do not require a permit, while front yard fences often have a lower height limit, sometimes as low as 3.5 feet. There can also be exceptions for properties in mixed residential-commercial zones. It's best to check with your local building inspection or zoning department to understand the specific requirements, height restrictions, and location rules for your area. A professional fence installer can help you navigate this process and often secure the necessary permits for you, though this may extend the project timeline.

Do you need a permit to build a fence if you are simply replacing an existing fence? Whether you need a permit in this case depends on your local laws and regulations. Most municipalities consider a fence replacement project as being equal to building a new fence, so you likely will need a permit. Check with your local building inspection department or zoning department to see if you need a permit. If you hire a local fence contractor, this pro can take care of obtaining all permits for you.

In the vast majority of cases, chain-link fences are less expensive than wood fences. Installing a wood fence costs anywhere from 20% to 30% more than a chain-link fence, or an average of $3,100, whereas a similarly sized chain-link fence will average around $2,400. Even with add-ons and additional protective finishes, a chain-link fence is very likely to cost you less than a wood fence. The only exception would be a split rail wood fence, which can cost about half the price of a chain-link fence or less.

A wobbly fence can be caused by a number of things, though poor installation is the usual culprit. It’s always best to have your fence installed by a professional who can ensure the posts are placed correctly and that the chain links have the correct amount of tension.
