He did such a good job, that my neighbor across the street hired him to redo the garage apron on his house. I would highly recommend him and Majestic Concrete for any job."

Pervious concrete can last from 20 to 40 years when properly mixed, poured, and maintained. Pervious concrete requires yearly maintenance to remove debris from the surface that can block the voids and interfere with effective drainage, but properly maintained pervious concrete can last as long as traditional concrete.

A floating slab is a single chunk of concrete that sits directly on flat soil, while a monolithic slab is a single piece of concrete that includes built-in footings that reach several feet below where the majority of the slab sits. Monolithic slabs provide more support, so they’re suitable for home construction, whereas floating slabs get minimal support from the soil directly below and are more common under sheds and detached garages.

A concrete slab costs between $3,600 and $7,200. The price can fall outside of this range if you need a slab that’s thicker than normal, or if you want or need reinforcements, like steel rebar. In some cases, you may be able to purchase a prefabricated concrete slab that is delivered to you already poured.

Stained concrete floors are extremely durable and can last a lifetime if properly maintained, which includes properly sealing them every few years or as needed. While some concrete floors can last for decades, exposure to extreme weather conditions may shorten their lifespan.
