"Damien Day was the most knowledgeable and helpful person I've talked to regarding solar systems in over a year! I would highly recommend him to anyone looking into solar. He's honest, reliable and so knowledgeable!"
"Tim, the owner, came over to review what we needed. He ordered a new inverter, was very communicative and installed the new inverter once it was received. We could not be happier with the service Tim and Sunivation Solar provided for us, and we will not hesitate to call them back should we need anything again. Tim was extremely kind, very thorough and just did an excellent overall job. Thank you!!"
"I have lived in my home for over 23 years and have used several different Heating and Air companies thru the years... I needed service in Sept 2018 and had various coupon prices of $39 and $49 for an A/C tune up and was about to chose on of them but decided to check Angie's list for a review or google for the coupon companies. That is when I found American Family HVAC and started to read their reviews.. For some reason, I decided to use this company even tho the cost was a bit more money and boy am I ever happy that I went with my hunch. Sometimes it is NOT always about the money. I was really looking for an A/C furnace company that I could count on and use regularly. Not only was the repair gentleman that came out, on time and very thorough and professional but he spent a long time and I feel that I received the most thorough tune up that I have ever had. Josh, the service tech was just a delight and the best part was that this company has a membership contract that I was able to purchase. It is a small monthly charge monthly and . I get 2 free tune-ups a year included in the monthly fee for NO charge and if I need any service work I get 20% off of the charge and same day service...all for only $12.95 a month. What a wonderful idea and I cannot express how happy I am with this choice. It is a win-win deal for me and the company. I am a very happy camper with my choice of this company."

"The technicians that I had come to my rental homes were fantastic. Each visit I learned something new from the technicians. They're very polite and sociable. They not only checked the AC out, but they took the panels off and sprayed the coils with a hose to remove the buildup of debris. The technician also found a Capacitor that was not within working margins and replaced it as a part of my warranty."
"I called Toptec and explained my situation not having any power in my home due to faulty breaks and having seen sparks there. Toptec told me a tech would arrive within the hour which he did. the master electrician Mr. Andre showed me and explained to me what had happened and found a way to fix it without having to change my whole electric panel as other quoted. He saved me lots of money and did an excellent job and made my home safer by explaining other things to me. thank you Toptec from now on you are my go to company for all my ac, heating, plumbing and electrical needs."
"We met Don at a home expo show. We setup the appointment for that same week and he showed up on time. He was able to schedule an evening consultation so I would not have to miss work. His company worked with both GE and Generac, however GE had a better warranty, it is a smaller, more efficient unit and it allowed us to move 10 breakers over to the new switch panel compared to the Generac 8 KW model which only allowed for 8 breakers. His quote was very concise and he explained that there would be additional costs bared by us that would be outside the quote. These additional costs were village permit costs and the possibility of needing an updated gas meter installed, which we did. At least it was nice knowing these extra costs were involved before signing a contract and being blind sided. The unit with installation came in around $3,900 and we added an oil heater for $300 since we live near Chicago and the winters can be harsh. After signing our contract, we had to wait a few weeks while our gas company looked over our appliances to determine if we needed a new gas meter, which we did (cost about $100). Don gave us the form to send to the gas company where I had to go around the house and list all gas appliances and their BTUs. As soon as the new gas meter was installed and the permit was pulled they were able to schedule us within a week. Our installation took 2 days. The first day the electrician came out and did just about all of the electric work. He returned the next morning to finish up for an hour or two. Then the gas man came out in the afternoon to finish the connection. He even gave us a new T connection with shutoff valve for our propane grill which I have converted into natural gas. After the hookup was complete, he tested the unit and showed me all the essential things I need to know about the unit and the switch panel. The entire crew was very professional and did everything right. They made sure not to track any dirt or mud into the house, they cleaned up after themselves and they worked hard to get the job done right and quickly. I would definitely recommend them to anyone interested in purchasing a generator for their house."

The average cost to install solar panels is around $27,000, with most homeowners paying between $4,500 and $54,000. These prices don’t consider the federal investment tax credit (ITC), which can reduce costs by up to 30%. The final price depends on several factors, including the size of the system needed to offset your energy consumption, the amount of sunlight your home receives, your geographical location, the type and brand of panels, labor costs, and any add-on products like solar batteries or electric vehicle (EV) chargers. It is recommended to get price quotes from at least three solar companies in your area to find the best deal.
The best solar-panel mounting system will depend on your property layout, but you’ll typically want to try for south-facing panels to get the most sun. Roof mounting and wall mounting are both popular, but if your well setup is far away from buildings and other structures you can also set up a freestanding aluminum frame to mount your panels.
Installing solar panels involves drilling small holes in your roof to secure the solar panel mounting brackets. These brackets hold the solar panels in place and must withstand strong weather conditions so they’re secured into your roof. However, holes and screws are sealed to prevent leaking and further damage.
In most cases, yes, solar panels are well worth the investment. Going solar with your home’s energy is expensive, but, in most states, the panels will pay for themselves by reducing your electric bills. Solar panels don’t produce greenhouse gasses or other pollutants, meaning you can feel good about using this renewable energy source to power your home. Plus, installing solar panels can boost your home value, helping your profit off your next home sale.
You shouldn’t hook up a solar panel directly to a battery. That can damage the solar battery and your appliances over time. Instead, install a charge controller between your solar panel and solar battery. Charge controllers regulate voltage, prevent overcharging, and minimize the amount of electrical current to protect your battery from voltage spikes.
