Turns out that the fix had to change the look of my house! I told Bill, the carpenter on the team, that it was important to maintain my home's unique character. He came up with an idea that while it did change the look, it kept all the mid-century charm that I love. More importantly, the work done by the crew was excellent. I was able to watch them work. They were all business and efficiency. Bill installed 2 new skylights, and Ryan suggested a modification to allow even more light to come in. The crew was super clean and left my backyard in better shape than when they came. I feel that Ryan and Bill listened to everything I said and did not discount a word. "I have dealer with various roofers for months. First it was difficult to get anyone to come out at all. Second, a few that did come out did not bother to even give me a quote. Third, the ones that provided a quote either did not address the problem I have or the quote was unrealistically high. Finally many are so busy that the work would have to be schedule weeks into the future. Johns came out gave me a quote on the spot and tells me they can do it in a week. I not only gave them the roofing job, I also hired them to replace my huge skylight which I had plan to give to another company.
