I am adding a negative review as it will likely be the only way to converse with the company. We had our roof done a year ago. The initial work was done well, but now we have a semi-related issue. They sent someone to check it out. We were told an estimate would be sent over, and now 3 weeks have passed. I called, left voicemails, and emailed several times/daily. I once got someone who said they would get back to be my EOD, but never did. I finally got a response late last Friday, and they asked about trying to send someone out to do another estimate and experienced some personal issues going on at home. There seems to be one person screening calls and answering emails? I am sympathetic, but how is there only one point person. I have a warranty, so other roofers won't come and check it out cz that could void it long-term. Damage is getting worse, and I am stuck in limbo. It would be great if there were someone else willing to help.

I am delinquent in posting this review. The job was actually completed at the end of October. We contacted Tan's for this job because we were very pleased with a flat roof installation they did for us several years ago. The contract clearly stated the scope of work required and the work completed met the terms of the contract. Larry could have easily sold us a replacement gutter for the front of the house but indicated that a realignment was all that was required, which obviously reduced material costs. Photos were provided for all aspects of the job. The crew was very professional and was very thorough through the entire process, particularly in cleaning the jobsite when the work was completed. We are very happy with the results.

Some of the wood and all the old shingles were in really bad condition. Tans Quality Roofing worked extremely efficiently - tear down and new roofs up in one day. The new roofs look fantastic! The crew was great!

We had an excellent experience with Larry and the crew at Tans Quality Roofing with several simultaneous projects on our condo building in Roscoe Village. The team was very thorough and considerate and really hustled to complete the project ahead of schedule before a holiday weekend. Larry provided daily updates on the project status as the work progressed and the entire team was a joy to work with from start to finish. Highly recommend them for any of your roofing needs.

Several months ago I called Tans roofing to replace the flat roof on my addition. They did a phenomenal job. The team was pleasant to work with. They did a wonderful job keeping my yard clean. Late June a tree branch fell on my addition and broke a hole thru my roof. Larry was fantastic to work with. He made sure to send a team out to cover the hole as it was going to rain again the next day. His team came out a week later to repair the damage. The pictures they took helped tremendously with the insurance claim. I would highly recommend Tans Roofing.

We contracted with Tans to tuck-point areas of our 100 year old building that had crumbling mortar/bricks. They did an amazing job! We have been using Tan's for both our roof and masonry/tuckpointing for years. They consistently do a wonderful job, show up on time, clean up and are very hard working. We highly recommend Tans.

Tans is amazing to work with. Foreman came out to estimate quickly after calling. We were able to get the work done shortly after. They left everything clean and free if any debris. The work was excellent and anything they found they immediately brought to my attention. This is the third roof they have done for me and have done a great job every time.

Tan Roofing did a fantastic job on our house roof, garage roof, gutters, gutter guards, soffits, etc. They were on time and completed the work within the time frame they specified. The crew was respectful and informative. They did a great job cleaning up afterwards. They took numerous photos of before and after the work. Larry, the owner, maintained excellent communications with me. He would respond to texts and emails quickly. He explained the job thoroughly and clearly. It was a pleasure to work with Tan Roofing.

Replaced 2 leaking skylights with one new one and re-framed roof. Also installed roof heating cable for ice dams. Quality of work was excellent and they were incredibly clean (since removing 2x8 ceiling joists is messy work in the room below).

This is our HOA's second time working with Tans. They've always been extremely communicative, professional and prompt. Associate made an estimate and did not come back for the schedule for the repair and doesn't respond on phone and email my initial concern they responded on the website email and now when you call them nobody responds. I'm still on the 15 year guarantee for the roofing. If they contact me they will get a 5 star again and hire them again.

Larry was very responsive and prompt when I called for a request to quote. The quote came quickly with itemized costs and almost 30 photos. The work was done actually earlier than the date and time as promised because of impending inclement weather. The final price came in under quote and again was supplied with multiple photos of the completed work. Larry and his son Ryan were great to work with and the crew did an excellent job..

My new roof & gutters look beautiful. Work was done in a timely manner. Workers were very careful with removal of old roofing material & clean-up was excellent. They were very respectful of neighbors' property on both sides of our house. This was very important to me because I had a very bad experience with a previous contractor that replaced the siding on the house. I am very happy with the project from start to finish. The communication was excellent throughout. Whenever I contacted Larry by phone I was able to reach him. He was also good at returning emails in a timely fashion. His crew did a an excellent job and completed the project on time. We have received a few compliments on the roof and requests for Tan's contact information. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Larry and his team for your roofing project. Also, his price was very fair compared to a few other quotes I received. He offers a 10 year warranty whereas most of the other bids were 3 years at most. His professionalism also stood out compared to a couple other roofers.

Larry and Ryan were very responsive. They quoted the job based on my photo that I provided (needed a new downspout) and completed the work quickly. They even checked my other downspouts and repaired them as needed, which was fantastic service and left me confident that they cared about the quality of their work. I would absolutely use Tans again and recommend them.
