 I contracted with Chris to replace my roof.  When it started to leak he came out right away and decided to begin the job the next day.  He got the roof on in one day but with all the rain we had it took 2 weeks to finish the job.  Chris suggested I move the bathroom vent so the solar tube could be in the middle of the ceiling. He did not charge me for moving the vent.  He also had his men take down and remove all the old cabinets in my garage and a old table in my basement, no charge.  When the skylights did not work he had the rep there in a few days to reprogram the units.  They work great now and look beautiful.  Chris is great to work with, always upbeat and ready to listen to you.  Great job!

"Couldn't have been more pleased!  Very professional and got right to it.  The Wall Switch that was removed, you never would have known there was one there, excellent job. The Ceiling repair, was our biggest concern, done wonderfully.  Very Happy with the outcome of this Project.... Might even have him come back to do some other Projects in the Future.  He's quite the HandyMan!!!Would definitely recommend Alan and his sidekick Geno to anyone!!! """FANTABULOUS""""

Contacted and he returned call the same day.. He was busy, but when he got time to call he did.. He said he would come over the following day and look at the job and if I wished he would give me a quote...  Which he did, and I chose to take his bid...   He said he was extremely busy, but could be able to start the project within the week...  He phoned me a few days later and asked if he could start the following day...  Of coarse I chose to take the start day, since I needed ceiling done before wife could start to paint and have carpet installed...  He came over as described, started in and got everything set on Saturday and asked if it would be alright to come back on Monday to finish the job...    Ok by me and he had to do a lot of leveling, since I had had water damage when I had purchased the home...   I have had quite a few homes, not just my living home, but have had rental property also, and have had many plasterers...  He is fantastic...  The only other plasterer I have ever had I no longer can find...  I think he must have moved out of our area, so got Dennis's name from Angie's List and thought I'd try him...   He has now done my basement bathroom, a soffit area in the kitchen and now the living room...   You should know I had never met or heard about him until I got on Angie's List in January or February...   First time he came here he did the bathroom and the soffit area and I was so pleased with that -- I called again to get his availability...  He has a great personality, will answer any questions, and very professional...   Work done speaks for itself...


If you need a plasterer and want a great job -- don't be afraid to call him..  He does top notch work and I'm sure, as I too, am very fussy what I pay and get from others...   You will be pleased with your outcome...

"Two people showed up and got straight to work removing a drop ceiling, drywall and ceiling as well as framing. When the third showed up the job shifted into high gear with minimal slow downs or distraction. They cleaned up incredibly well including covering my stairs and then vacuuming them, vacuuming the entire space two to three times and leaving us very little to clean."

"The Dreeson Bros did a great job painting my interior walls and ceilings. I had a lot of soot and tobacco to cover up and they did great work. They perfectly matched the paint that was already in my home. I was able to leave my little dog home while they were here painting as well. Although texturing walls may not seem like a lengthy project, you’ll need to set aside between one and five days to complete it properly. The exact amount will depend on the scope of your project—one room will take less than a whole-house project. That will give you enough time for tasks that are time-consuming in and of themselves, like taping wall edges, priming the walls and letting them dry fully, and actually applying the texture and top or base paint coats. 

Yes, you can cover a popcorn ceiling, which is often more cost-effective and easier than scraping it off. Common methods include using ceiling-grade drywall, applying a skim coat, or installing beadboard panels to create a smooth, updated finish. Covering the ceiling can also protect you from asbestos exposure if the material contains it. However, it's important to note that this method only seals off the asbestos and does not eliminate it, which could be a concern for future renovations or home resale. If you suspect your ceiling contains asbestos, it's best to hire a local asbestos abatement company to test the material and manage its safe removal.

If your popcorn ceiling is asbestos-free and you are ready for a new look, painting is an option.
