"I received a few quotes from fencing companies. My husband and I decided to hire Flores Fencing. The quotes I received from the different fencing companies were pretty similar as far as cost but we decided to go with Flores Fencing because they were the only company that seem enthusiastic about getting our business. The other companies, which have been in business a lot longer than Flores Fencing, never even bothered with any form of follow up communication after they gave me the quote. Emanuel however, was great at communicating with me throughout the process and Wilfredo was great at addressing my questions or concerns about my project. The workers were efficient and after completing the installation of my fence and gate, they made sure they left my yard pristine. Wilfredo, who is one of the salesperson, came over to help the workers to make sure the work was completed in one day. He even took it upon himself to fix a gate that was not part of our project which he noticed needed a simple repair. The fence and gate they installed looks absolutely wonderful. I am so pleased! Was pleased with the project overall. Liked that Tim explained different brands of fencing so we could choose quality over just the cheapest price. They explained their installation tid bits that help keep the challenges of vinyl fencing from rising out of the ground over time. Their price was in line with other company's proposals. The installers worked well together and had a 'system' that made them very efficient. I could not believe 3 people could do the project in 1 full day, but they did.

Within a month of the fence installed, one of those nasty storms caused a section to break free. We were panicked at first that we chose the wrong product, this was exactly what were trying to avoid by choosing a high wind resistant brand in Kroy. They came out within 3 days of the breakdown and explained the section notching mechanism was just a bit not slotted in place, so the fence is designed to break away like that. Only part that actually broke was the post cap. He was able to reconnect the section and have not had any troubles with section failure since. Expect that gates will need adjusting, just an fyi, with ground settling the first year, but the repair group comes out to adjust and teach the owner how to make future little adjustments from normal ground shifting.

"Had taken over management of owner occupied 3 flat apartment building. Recently leased apartment to new tenant. Found that work done on master bathroom by someone hired by owner less than two years ago was faulty. A leak in bath room in apartment above had been discovered and fixed, but who ever owner hired to do repair on water damage to this bathroom apparently never replaced wet wall board, just painted and tiled over!
Also about time I was getting quotes for repairing this bathroom, I replaced the old drop-in stove top in the apartment with a new one. However the old unit had knobs in front, while new one had controls on top. This left a open cutout in front of cabinet.
Tom had been out of town when I first started getting quotes, and I had almost decided on an other provider. However, he offered to meet me at the building at my convenience (I am only there once or twice a week) to see what was needed and give me a quote on the spot.
He showed up on time. When I showed him the main 'job' - the master bath- I gave him minimum information. His answers as to what probably happened and what would be needed, depending on extent of hidden damage was spot on. I also liked his suggestions as to how he would fix the problems.  As we went through the apartment I ask the tenant to show us anything else she felt needed to be 'fixed/adjusted'.  Tom gave good answers to the few items she pointed out., and, while honest, did not put me into any bind or make apartment owner seem bad.
After we left the tenant, Tom explained to me what he would do, and how long he expected to take. I also went into more detail about 'prior' fix with him at that time, though it appeared he easily was able to see what had happened. Tom gave me expected time to do all the fixes, and price. I was impressed that he just about promised all could be done in one day without disrupting tenant to any major degree.  Also, he would be able start within a reasonable time frame, which was important to me.
Tom came out and did the work with in  the next week. While I was not able to be there at the time, I reviewed the work he did several days later. He did a very good job. Also, important to me, the tenant was also pleased and complemented his professionalism. He did quality work, timely, and at a very reasonable price.
I am going to use Tom for future jobs as needed at the building. Not only I will recommend him to others, but here are some projects in the near future I am planning at my own home about which I will be contacting him.

"I purchased the $99 Big Deal for 3 hours of handyman work back when they were called HomeDM Remodeling.  Our front door was starting to sag and not latch properly and I wanted assistance helping to re-square it and to replace an poorly installed and horribly leaking exterior door in our dining room.  I'm moderately handy around the house and thought I would help with the re-leveling of the front door prior to his arrival so I removed the screen door.  Turns out it was not necessary and I actually wasted time.  What I thought would take well over an hour took about 5 minutes to fix.  He removed the mounting screws on the hinge side and used a long crow bar to lift that side of the frame up about 3/4 of an inch.  We used my table saw to cut a custom shim to hold it in place before re-installing the mounting screws.  He clearly knows his business and the tricks of the trade!  I was allowed to help out with getting the previously removed screen door reattached.  We then spent the rest of the time removing a horrible exterior door and installing a previously purchased one.  We can, once again, eat in our dining room without baking in the summer and freezing in the winter!
