"Everything went very well. Constantine arrived on time. He introduced himself. Constantine appeared neat and clean. He was very polite. We have unusual windows, so my husband showed him how to tilt them open from the inside in order to wash the exterior of the lower half of the windows. Constantine began the project by using a ladder to reach the exterior of the top half of the windows. When he was done cleaning the top half, he came inside and cleaned the bottom half of the windows. He also brushed the screens. The windows look great! They are now spotless. Constantine was very thorough and worked carefully. It was clear that he wanted to do a good job. Nothing was damaged. Constantine communicated well was also pleasant to deal with from beginning to end. I would like to add that Olga was very helpful when I called AMRUSS, Inc., to schedule the work. It was a pleasure to work with her as well as with Constantine. We will consider AMRUSS, Inc., for additional types of projects in the future."

"We are SO THRILLED with the results and with the entire process! JD and his company are absolutely terrific. It was such a pleasant process from design suggestions, drawing up plans, watching the execution, and now enjoying the completed work. JD is a terrific designer, wonderful communicator, and we really couldn't be happier with everything. We are planning to do another project with him in the next year, and we are looking forward to that process and end product too!"

"They were delayed three days due to weather. They came with a crew of about 6, a truck with a telescoping bucket and a large wood chipper. They had a man in the trees in the back of the house trimming branches. Another man was in the front of the house working from the bucket trimming trees. Other men were collecting cuttings and chipping them. Still others were cutting down the small trees. They did extra trimming and brush collecting that was outside the scope of the contract at no extra charge. The work took a day and a half.

"Absolute great from the get go. Nick and Maria came to check out the scope of work and gave me very reasonable quote. We had two large dead pines and one half dead crabapple tree removed. I also had lilac bushes pruned for dead wood and a couple of stumps cut down. The crew was punctual, courteous and thorough. They cut, chipped and racked. Excellent work and highly recommend this business."

Topsoil costs from $12 to $55 per cubic yard, depending on the type you choose. For example, screened black dirt will cost about $15 per cubic yard. Loam (soil composed of sand, silt, and clay) costs about $17 per cubic yard. Standard screened topsoil costs about $20 per cubic yard. The type of topsoil you need depends on your landscaping plans.
Landscapers typically charge $25 to $50 per person per hour, which equals around $50 to $100 per hour for a two-person crew. These rates can vary depending on your location, the size of staff needed for the job, and overall job type. For example, a larger crew will be needed for structural additions and hardscaping versus planting flowers.
When it comes to landscapers, licensing laws vary. Landscaping architects are required to be licensed in all 50 states, whereas traditional landscaping contractors are not typically required to hold a certification. You’ll likely be working with a landscaping contractor for most residential projects. If you are redesigning your whole yard or adding in hardscape features, you will work with a landscaping architect at some point during the project. Be sure to check our state licensing tool to review the local landscaper guidelines.

Mulch costs anywhere from $30 to $150 per cubic yard, depending on the type you choose. On the inexpensive end, red and black mulch are about $35 to $40 per cubic yard, and are typically made from recycled waste wood like shredded old pallets or deck material. Cedar, cypress, and rubber mulch cost anywhere from $100 to $120 per cubic yard. A pro can help you determine the type of mulch most suitable for your landscaping needs.
