"William and his crew were punctual, courteous, and professional. William walked me through the process for the work, inspected the areas he needed to access, and answered all my questions with enthusiasm which made me feel respected as a customer. They worked diligently and when the whole job was complete, including air quality testing, he walked me through for approval. I truly think my basement was left cleaner than before they started. I had nothing to clean up, throw out, or pick up after they were done. I am so pleased I used BlueStone for my Asbestos removal project and their pricing was right in line with a competitor. Thank you!"

"This is a high quality mold/fungi/fungus testing company, with excellent customer service and follow-up. The phones were picked up on the first call each time, and arranging for an appointment was very easy. They arrived on time, were efficient, informing, and friendly in their work, and brought commercial equipment to perform the test samples. The follow up phone call and email on the test results was good, and they provided a potential remediation plan for us to follow on the test results. The third party lab utilized by them had easy to understand numbers, graphs, and descriptions of what was tested. We will do business with Gardner Services again in the near future, and will recommend them to others."

"The work was done neatly and professionally.   Tyler seems to pride himself on his work as he touches up every last detail until it is absolutely perfect.  He is very trustworthy and I did not hesitate to leave him in my home alone to work while we were away.    Tyler has done other work for us from a simple room painting, to a an elaborate stucco textured dining room.  He refinished an Ethan Allen coffee table our children had destroyed.  He even does odd jobs, like cabinet repair, and drapery rod hanging.   From the simple to the complex, I could count on him to not just do the job, but complete the job to perfection.  His pricing was no more than some inexperienced cheaper men I had hired in the past that never completed anything perfectly.  I cannot find any spots of his work that have any imperfections.   Have you gone through painters like I have, either because too expensive or shoddy workmanship?  Once you hire Tyler, you will never hire a different painter again.  Enough said!

Lead Testing and Removal questions, answered by experts

According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), hazardous waste is generally classified into four main categories:

1. Characteristic Wastes: These exhibit at least one of four hazardous traits: ignitability (flammable, like gasoline), corrosivity (can rust or decompose materials, like car batteries), reactivity (unstable and can explode, like aerosol cans), or toxicity (harmful when ingested, like lead-based paint).

2. Listed Wastes: These are specific wastes from manufacturing and industrial processes that the EPA has officially designated as hazardous. They include byproducts from processes that use solvents, pesticides, and other chemicals.

3. Universal Wastes: These are commonly generated hazardous items that are subject to streamlined regulations. Examples include batteries, pesticides, mercury-containing equipment (e.g., bulbs), and some lamps.

4. Mixed Wastes: This category includes waste that contains both hazardous and radioactive components, making it subject to regulation by both the EPA and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

Government regulations such as the EPA and OSHA govern lead removal procedures to ensure health and environmental safety during and after abatement.

Costs depend on test type, home size, number of testing locations, and whether follow-up testing is required.

Professional lead removal involves identifying and safely removing or encapsulating lead-based paints and materials, using specialized equipment, and following strict safety procedures to minimize exposure and contamination.

Through air sampling devices and surface swabs in key areas of concern.
