"All Affordable Plumbing was great to work with. They address my primary issue which was an issue with the plumbing in the basement. Secondly, I had mentioned to them that I will be doing a kitchen remodel project in the near future and that I will need to have the drain relocated. What they did was stage the area in prepapration for that project, so that there will be minimal work for when I start that project and have the sink in the new location. Lastly, they were very organized and professional with their work. Also, they left the area cleaner than what I presented to them"
Pipe was completely packed! Drain cleaning was not going to do the job here!

"Ken (the owner) went above and beyond and provided outstanding customer service. Was the first Home Advisor to call, set up a 9 am appointment and arrived on time. Diagnosed the leaky faucet problem quickly and when it was determined it was a faulty fixture, came with me to the hardware store to get a new one. Installed the new fixture and it looks better than the one he replaced. His price was very fair and he didn’t charge me extra for the time to shop. Would definitely call Ken in the future."

"Tim was amazing and very helpful. He was quick to respond and amazingly enough was able to get out to my project very quickly. If you are thinking about anything plumbing wise I would definitely recommend Tim and Drains Inc. I had two other companies come out and give me quotes but honestly they were not even close to the friendliness and the price that the other guys were suggesting. We will be using Tim again for sure in our future plumbing repairs, so do yourself a favor and just call Drains Inc."

"Ryan and his coworker were very professional and worked very efficiently. Answered all my questions and even took care of a leaky pipe and hooked up my icemaker on my fridge in addition to installing two new faucets. It only took them an hour. When the time came for me to pay the bill I was very pleasantly surprised. I would hire Collins Sanitary again w/o hesitation and would highly recommend them."

Sink Installation questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can fit a vanity unit to an existing sink, especially if you plan to custom-build the vanity. With a prefabricated vanity, you’ll likely need to make a few adjustments. It depends on the type of sink, the size of the sink, and the existing plumbing. If you plan to retrofit a sink into a prefabricated vanity, make sure you take precise measurements and that your sink is compatible with the vanity you select. Prefabricated units have a precut sink hole, so you’ll need the size to match your sink.

Many parts of your plumbing system can fail, but clogged drains are one of the biggest plumbing problems you’ll likely encounter. From your kitchen sink, bathroom sink, or bathtub, there are plenty of opportunities for gunk, hair, food scraps, and more to get stuck in drains. When this happens, water will slowly drain, leading to standing water, bad odors, drain flies, and other issues.

Many homeowners can handle a minor clog themselves, but if you have a clog in your main line, you’re best off hiring a local plumber to get the drain back to its normal flow rate.

Vanities may come with a countertop and sink but won’t include faucets. You’ll need to purchase your faucets separately from a home improvement or hardware store. When shopping for a fixture, you’ll have plenty of bathroom faucet types to choose from. Think about your vanity and bathroom aesthetics and what you need when deciding. Single-handle and centerset faucets work well in any space, while widespread, bridge, and wall-mount fixtures work in modern bathrooms.

Yes, if you live in a climate with extended periods of frost or snow, it’s best to winterize the sink and avoid potential bursting. Similar to winterizing a garden hose, turn off your water from the source. Once turned off, open the faucet so the remaining water completely drains out. You can also pour a small amount of antifreeze down the sink drain so any trapped water won’t freeze.

Yes, drain stoppers do come out. In some cases, you can twist them counterclockwise to remove them. You can lift some drain stoppers halfway to the raised position and unscrew them. For others, you will need to lift the drain stopper to the raised position and unscrew the stopper from the stem underneath the top of the stopper.
