I have always wanted to be a carpenter since my brother-in-law introduced me to carpentry when I was 10 years old. He loaned me his "Audels Carpentry and Builders Guide" Copywrite 1947...(its now considered "Vintage" on ebay) I poured over those books, learned everything I could from them... When I was twelve, I built a tree fort with the neighborhood kids... I made sure we had the floor beams correctly lag bolted to the trees, but when I insisted that the 2x4 studs had to be on 16" centers, my crew walked off the job and set up a picket line to protest my strict adherence to the way "Audels" told me it should be. In 1990, my dream of owning a business finally became a reality. I started Scandia Carpentry and Millwork and specialized in additions and remodel, cabinets and furniture.

Long duration projects (over 30 days) requires a 50% good faith payment prior to project commencement, with 25%/ ¼ payment due at seventy-five percent completion and the remainder 25%/ ¼ due on project completion and acceptance.
