With over 40 years of building experience you can expect your job will be completed on time and within budget! A little bit about who I am: I built tree forts as a kid...took woodworking classes in high school, worked as a carpenter in high school and started my apprenticeship with Local 131 Carpenters Union in Seattle in the early 1980's. I have always wanted to be a carpenter since my brother-in-law introduced me to carpentry when I was 10 years old. He loaned me his "Audels Carpentry and Builders Guide" Copywrite 1947...(its now considered "Vintage" on ebay) I poured over those books, learned everything I could from them... When I was twelve, I built a tree fort with the neighborhood kids... I made sure we had the floor beams correctly lag bolted to the trees, but when I insisted that the 2x4 studs had to be on 16" centers, my crew walked off the job and set up a picket line to protest my strict adherence to the way "Audels" told me it should be. In 1990, my dream of owning a business finally became a reality. I started Scandia Carpentry and Millwork and specialized in additions and remodel, cabinets and furniture.
