Dustin delivered 3 full loads of road rock as agreed and as scheduled to help complete our driveway. We wouldn't hesitate to hire him for future work.

It went great! We had tried to do this project for 2-3 years and could not get return calls or estimates from the contractors we called. Nick retuned calls, got estimates done quickly and got the work scheduled fast! Aaron came and took care of the cottonwood trunks. Aaron and Nick accomplished the digging, grading, dry well and culvert in about two days. Thank you. And the starting point was much more rugged than those pictures FYI

We could not have asked for a better company to work with. Amazing company that knows how to work as a team. The equipment was like an extension of their body’s. You can tell they know what they are doing. This was on a new place for our parents. Nick showed up and listened to what we needed. He then gave ideas and could see the vision of what we wanted. A very special skill to have. Estimate was given to us faster than we imagined it would be. The project turned out better than we could have ever imagined. They always worked hard and communicated well. The way they made my parents feel and us during the process made it feel like family. Always positive and always a pleasure. I cannot give enough compliments for this company and the teamwork they have. Not only did we find a company that we will recommend to everyone we know. We will always use them. And we have made a friend that we completely trust. We can’t wait to use them again. I’m still shocked at the skill set. Thank you G-Man Construction and especially thank you to Nick and Jason

Great father and son team! They came when they said they would, they were careful not to damage the garage and flower beds when they dug up the old concrete, and they worked long hours to finish the project quickly as well as doing an excellent job. They spent the time needed to dig up mud and pack in lots of fill and put in rebar to make sure the concrete lasts. We really appreciate their work ethic as well as how easy they were to work with

Jerry was amazing. There was a bit of a wait until he could get to our project, but once he did, he did a terrific job. He worked well with my elderly parents, and listened to their concerns, and wants. He was extremely knowledgeable and experienced in every facet of the work he did. He was very conscientious about doing quality work, and he made sure that the repairs would last and that they were up to code. I love the way it all turned out and I would recommend him to anyone, without reservation

We initially contacted Jerry Stuart of J & J Construction for help with removal of our 3 tree stumps. In getting an estimate for that we found out the he did many other types of work. We asked him for an estimate for replacing our patio door (form the house), fixing our cracking patio and an RV pad. In walking around, Jerry pointed out that our roof line was sagging due to an improperly installed post and discussed with us what we could do to fix it. Needless to say our initial bid for removal of tree stumps soon blossomed into a full blown project. Jerry was very good about discussing our options and very flexible in accommodating our needs. Together we came up with a plan and work began the next day!! Work began on October 20, 2012 and despite weather delays and additional work we added, we were completed by November 13, 2012. Jerry and his team are extremely hard workers and have an incredible attention to detail. The work that they completed for us is even better than I could have imagined. It was fun working with them in coming up with ideas on some of the finish work. I really appreciate have a crew that is on time, works a full day and works on Saturdays to get things done. And did I mention their work is awesome!

Jerry and the entire crew did an excellent job. They came out and met to review the scope of the project and then worked up a bid. They began construction shortly after obtaining the building permit. They finished the project exactly on bid. The building was finished in a professional manner. They even enclosed all outside wood in painted custom formed metal, so there is nothing needing to be painted every few years. We highly recommend their work and we would not hesitate to hire them if we need a contractor in the future

Jerry Stuart was very responsive and provided help immediately for the project. Working around a home owner's project is difficult at best, but as I completed my part of the project Jerry had his contractors on site within days. The tile installers J&J sent were perfectionists and the wall tiling was finished ahead of estimated time and the completed job looked much better than originally designed. The tile installers were friendly and meticulous resulting in a job well beyond our expectations. I cannot recommend J&J more highly for any bathroom construction or remodel

"<p>Our first leak was under a crawl space...cold and wet and dark. They repaired the leak. A few weeks later, another leak in the same crawl space. They found a 2nd, different leak, repaired it.</p>
<p>I really appreciate the Vietzke team, but I have to be honest, it wasn't an initial, strait, smooth line to the finish, so let me pause to say that after leak #2 was fixed, the crew forgot to plug in the sump pump. Several days later, after heavy rain, we noticed it was not running. So under the house I went. It was a muck mess of standing water and mud and many miserable hours on my hands and knees doing what needed to be done, vacuuming up the mud and water so that we did not have a mold issue down the road. MORE ON THAT, KEEP READING.</p>
<p>About 6 weeks later, a third leak, this time under our detached shop concrete floor...more galvanized pipe (and clay soil). We called Vietzke again. Even though the past crew had a brain fart, we knew their "can do" attitude would know what to do because we surely didn't.</p>
<p>Paul Vietzke reviewed our job site, many years of other peoples fixes (none of which were recorded, a well, a sprinkler system and pipes going every which way. None of us had more than a general clue: we needed to abandon all galvanized pipe lines and lay new poly pipe. Paul gave us his bid and because of the past oopsie IMPORTANT TO NOTE: he gave us a significant credit on the previous job. He treated us very fairly!!!!</p>
<p>We agreed to a start date (immediately) and Paul arrived that morning with Ryan Patrick (his lead) and a few crew members (Kipp!) Very professional, everybody was ready to review the job site, make sure communication and end result was clear. Husband and I left for work, leaving our home and shop open, in good, safe capable hands.</p>
<p>Having your landscaped yard pretty much destroyed in not easy to take in. But Ryan did an AWESOME job!!! He was a careful as he could be, taking things apart. I had already pulled out all of the perennials that I wanted to save. The few that I left, he gently pulled out with his backhoe and gently set them aside. NOW I ASK YOU, WHAT KIND OF REGULAR RUN-OF-THE-MILL BACKHOE OPERATOR DOES THAT??? </p>
<p>We had a newly poured sidewalk that he had to dig through...he cut the concrete on the seam lines, only excavated the middle, leaving the 2 solid edges in tack so that when he back filled and replaced the concrete PERFECTLY, there was no sag later. WHAT NORMAL BACKHOE OPERATOR THINKS THAT FAR FORWARD AND TAKES THAT CARE???</p>
<p>Midstream of the job, we have a well issue. I ask Ryan his opinion (not part of this job, but he is a willing spirit). He diagnoses it as a coincidental check valve in our holding tank that has gone bad. I ask him to please contact who ever he is comfortable with to come fix / replace it, which he does that same day (or we wouldl have been out of water for a day or two). NOW WHAT NORMAL BACKHOE OPERATOR DOES THAT FOR HIS CUSTOMER???</p>
<p>When the plumbing aspect of the job was done and Ryan started on the backfill, we could not believe his tender touch on the machine. Where he had pile dirt on the lawn, you could hardly tell (were it not for the yellowed grass) that he had carefully picked up and scooted all of the dirt back into the offending ditch, not tearing up the rest of the yard at all!</p>
<p>Yes, it took a day longer than Vietzke had hoped. The crew had a nasty day and 1/2 of blowing wind and rain, miserable work if you ask us. But in the end Ryan was committed to doing the job right and taking extra care when needed. He was patient, very communicative (he would send us texts / pictures throughout the day, if ever any question). Clearly, he wanted to represent Vietzke and be mindful of the job at hand, but not to loose sight of the customer. </p>
<p>Ryan is our hero! We were in a mess, hadn't a clue of what to do or how to fix it. Paul Vietzke is also hour hero. Without his patience and allowing Ryan to do all of the many "right" things, it wouldn't have been teamwork and we wouldn't be as happy as we are.</p>
<p>Would we recommend them again? Absolutely. They are even welcome for dinner!</p>

"A very nice person. However, we feel work was rushed & substandard at times. We never received a written estimate & timetable for the job. Most times we didn't know who or when someone would show up. It took 3 inspections by the Health Dept. before the septic tank passed. Large rocks were in the fill dirt for the shop pad & it needed to be enlarged twice before the shop builder said it wasn't ideal, wished more had been done, & that it'd cause him more work but he could do it. Before the shop concrete floor could be poured, we had to bring in additional fill dirt at our own expense. The driveway was very bumpy & the excavator thought he could make it better by leveling the crown but then the dirt was so loose that some trucks couldn't make it up for about 2 wks. Then very large gravel was dumped on top but not packed down for another week or so & the only way to make it up was to gun it all the way to the top. (I got stuck twice.) Finally a top layer of finer gravel was brought in & packed down making it much smoother, however, the bumps were evened out only minimally. Lastly, the widening & side trenching for rainwater runoff wasn't done as we had requested.
4 employees; we are licensed concrete contractors with a public works license in the state of Idaho; full payment is due upon completion of job, unless otherwise indicated.
"Dennis was prompt. and knew how to make that backhoe dance. Very polite, no frills and accurate in his assessment of the job. He kept his promises. Was willing to go the extra mile to please his customer.
