"Called right away. Made appointment for next day, showed up on time. Inexpensive compared to other mold inspectors, per conversations with others who have had the service. Answered all my questions and stayed in contact until he had results and then made an appt to go over results, with suggestions. Very professional and easy to work with."

"They did a wonderful job fixing up our foundation damage. And they have given us a 5-year warranty, which means if there's any leak in the next 5 years, they will come right back and fix it. I do not doubt that the work will hold up well though. The whole project went down smoothly, and we are very happy that they were able to fix our foundation."

"Cole was very polite, educated about ancestors procedures and disposal, and provided reference upon request. I Had my house tested for asbestos. He was able to visually inspect some areas to determine if they needed testing and saved my $$. The pricing was reasonable ($150 to come out, $35 per sample). The trading was done locally at a third party lab and I recieved my results before the week was over. some of the samples came back positive for asbestos, but I was not pressured to do abatement immediately. I did ask for a quote though."

Mold Testing and Remediation questions, answered by experts

No, it isn’t. This is one of those things that needs to be dealt with immediately because mold will spread at a rapid rate and can go from just one spot on the wall to a serious health risk in a matter of days. Prolonged exposure can be extremely dangerous, so any mold issues (or even suspected mold) need to be dealt with right away.

Signs of mold under silicone caulk include discoloration or dark spots appearing through or around the caulk, a musty odor in the area, and visible growth on the surface of the caulk. Additionally, if the caulk feels soft or spongy, it could indicate moisture trapped underneath, which is a breeding ground for mold.

If you need mold remediation, you’re probably looking at a bill of a couple thousand dollars or more. Sometimes, though, your homeowner’s insurance policy may cover some or all of the costs of the remediation. If the black mold forms because of a covered event, such as a storm that damages your roof, and causes leaking or flooding in the basement, it’s possible the policy also covers mold remediation. It never hurts to ask your insurance company if it will cover the cost of black mold remediation.

Musty smells often indicate the presence of mold, which can lead to various health risks. Inhalation of mold spores may trigger allergic reactions, causing sneezing, a runny or stuffy nose, and itchy or watery eyes. People who suffer from mold allergies or asthma may experience more severe respiratory problems. Certain types of mold, like black mold, can lead to mycotoxicosis, a condition associated with serious health effects like respiratory problems, fatigue, headaches, and skin irritation if exposure continues for an extended period. Those with weakened immune systems, respiratory problems, or allergies may be more vulnerable to the health risks that come with musty smells. Therefore, it is crucial to address and eliminate the source of the odor promptly.

Yes. Black stains are more than an eyesore. Some black stains can pose health concerns, especially for those with asthma, allergies, or other respiratory conditions. Some stains can also damage the brick’s structural integrity, harming the mortar and resulting in more expensive repairs.
