"These guys were GREAT!. We had an 'urgent' need with sink problems in a house of BSU students studying for finals. I was out of town, different time zone, hard to reach and they totally worked with me. They got right over. Not just fixed immediate problem but really helped us to upgrade affordably. They are on my Favorites now"

"They were very responsive to my request for repairs and came out within 2 hours. Nolan, the service tech spent over 1-1/2 hours accessing where the underground pipe leak was. They provided 3 estimates for repairs. They had the leak fixed in one day. Chris, the owner, was out 3 times to check how it was going. They are very professional and I would highly recommend them."

Small jobs welcome

"It was a little more expensive than I anticipated., but I havenâ t used a plumber before so I have no basis of comparison. Regardless I will hire them again because they were prompt, efficient, thorough, professional, everything they fixed works well. I discussed a kitchen counter update with Kyle and I liked what he had to say, so I am happy to have him back when I decide to proceed with the project."

Affordable Plumbers questions, answered by experts

Homeowners insurance may cover shower pan leaks, but it depends on the type of coverage you’re looking for. Typically, home insurance policies cover sudden or accidental water damage, for example, if it comes from a busted pipe or malfunctioning appliance. Damage to a shower pan is usually gradual. A repair or replacement of your shower pan usually won’t be covered by your policy. If your shower pan leak causes water damage, chances are your standard policy—if it includes water damage—will cover the repair.

Pedestal sinks are bolted or screwed into the floor and the wall to prevent it from moving out of place. You may have to change or add to the bathroom flooring when installing a pedestal sink if the flooring was laid around the previous sink, not under it.

Bleach isn’t likely to help unclog a sewer line. Bleach isn’t useful in this situation because it won’t dissolve the grime and debris in the clog. Instead, you want to use ingredients that will have a chemical reaction to clear out the buildup, like vinegar or salt and baking soda.

Yes. There are a variety of standard pipe sizes used in plumbing. The main supply line connecting your home to the street is either 3/4 or 1 inch in diameter. Supply lines are 3/4 inch in diameter. Individual components are 1/2 inch in diameter. Meanwhile, your main drainpipe is often 4 inches wide. Most shower and bathtub drains are 2 inches in diameter, most toilet drains are 3 inches in diameter, and most sink drainpipes are 1 1/4 or 1 ½ inches in diameter.

Yes, you can fit a vanity unit to an existing sink, especially if you plan to custom-build the vanity. With a prefabricated vanity, you’ll likely need to make a few adjustments. It depends on the type of sink, the size of the sink, and the existing plumbing. If you plan to retrofit a sink into a prefabricated vanity, make sure you take precise measurements and that your sink is compatible with the vanity you select. Prefabricated units have a precut sink hole, so you’ll need the size to match your sink.
