"They did a great job. The job was completed faster than expected. They had the locates done. They covered the fence with plastic to prevent concrete splatter on it. The sheilded the air condition compressors with plywood during the concrete pour. Overall I am really happy with them and will be hiring them to do the concrete work for my deck. Thank you Cora Construction!"

"I highly recommend Align Construction. I have wood siding with sections that were cracked and warped. They replaced several boards and painted the house. From start to finish they were easy to work with. Quint contacted me right away and scheduled the estimate. He kept me informed as to the schedule and they were actually able to start the job sooner than planned. They do great work, always cleaned up at the end of the day, were very polite and considerate. They were very patient in explaining what needed to be done and made sure that I was happy with the work. The cost was exactly as quoted. I would definitely hire them again."

"They were on time, very polite, willing to do anything I needed done in connection with the patio project, and some separate from the actual patio (moving dirt away from a gate). Their work was professional, and complete to the last bit. They cleaned up the entire area when they were done. I would use them for other projects in the yard - in fact have already asked for an estimate on building some waist high garden beds."

"I will recommend this company to everyone. Much less expensive than replacing the concrete. The only minus is the one spot that raised a little too much and he had to grind it down a little bit."

"Things couldn't have gone more smoothly. From the responsiveness to my call, showing up at the time told for a bid, doing a bid onsite not 'emailing' it later, showing up exactly as mentioned they would to start, and finishing the job when told it would be completed. Also, leaving the job site as if they'd never been there. I'd highly recommend them for any concrete work."

"My job was on the smaller side, 8'x18' extended patio nothing fancy. I got 5 quotes from different contractors almost all of saw the size of the job and couldn't get out fast enough, then gave me crazy high inflated quotes. Sione came out saw the job, asked questions, acted like he wanted the job and his price was right plus he did an incredible job. I wouldn't think twice about hiring him again. If your looking for a detailed oriented, hard working, and respectful guy for your concrete job just do yourself a favor and hire Concrete & More."

Concrete Mudjacking questions, answered by experts

Trenching and boring are two distinct methods for installing underground utilities. Trenching involves digging a channel using equipment like an excavator, trencher, backhoe, or shovel. While it is a simpler process, it causes significant disruption to the surface, landscaping, and surrounding ecosystems.

Boring, also known as directional boring, is a less invasive alternative that uses a drill to create a tunnel for utility lines without disturbing the surface. This method is more precise and is ideal for installations that need to go underneath buildings, roads, or bodies of water. Although boring is less disruptive, it is generally more expensive than trenching.

Most states and municipalities don’t require concrete mudjacking companies to carry a specific license, but they usually need to have a general contractor’s license, and they should be fully insured. The only exception is if the mudjacking company provides foundation repairs as well, or if it offers mudjacking for home foundations. In that case, they will typically need a foundation repair contractor’s license. You can check state requirements and then use Angi’s license lookup tool to confirm that a company is properly licensed to provide mudjacking services in your area.

There is no real alternative to underpinning, although mudjacking and polyjacking are other repair methods that can add support from underneath your foundation. Rather than placing supportive piers under your structure, these involve pumping a material under your slab to lift a sunken section back into its original position. Polyjacking, in particular, is sometimes a suitable solution for stabilization issues under slab foundations, but underpinning is often accepted as the best and most permanent solution.

Mudjacking can be an expensive foundation repair process, but in many cases, it’s well worth the investment. This is especially true if you’re lifting a portion of sunken foundation slab back into place. In that case, mudjacking can help avoid major structural damage and even home collapse by restoring the integrity of your structure with minimally invasive procedures. Mudjacking a concrete patio, walkway, or sidewalk can be worthwhile because it removes tripping hazards and makes your outdoor area more aesthetically appealing.

Mudjacking typically takes 24 to 72 hours (one to three days) to dry and cure completely before you can resume normal use. The exact time can vary depending on the size of the project. Because the slurry mixture contains cement, it must fully harden to ensure that added weight from walking, furniture, or vehicles won't shift the concrete slab. A professional contractor can advise you on when the surface is safe to use. For comparison, if you use polyjacking instead, the polyurethane foam can dry in just a few minutes, but it's best to wait about an hour before use.
