"Mr. Rooter sent out Adam B. today, after I had called yesterday.  He spent 4 hours trying to unclog our sink drain line.  He was very professional and worked at it that whole time.  He also made recommendations on other things that we would possibly need to fix later on down the line.  I like that they look at the problem and then give you options on the fix before actually taking action.  After Adam finally got the clog out, he tested the drain in front of me and it worked perfectly.  I like the 3 yr warranty that comes with the Hydro scrub option.  Overall it was a great experience and if we need future work we will definitely consult Mr. Rooter first.

"It went great. The overall quality of the work was top notch & the craftsmen were courteous &professional. The shower area had some issues with the tile work & I called them out a couple times to review the situation with a quick fix, but after several months it was clear the underlying structure under the tile was causing the problem. Jonathon came back out warrantied the work and rebuilt the tile section over 3 days & we're super happy with the results. I would highly recommend JSC. We've used them extensively on several other projects around the house & have always been happy with the quality of their work. Sheetrock, baseboards, attic ladders, kitchen remodel, appliance installations, siding repair. You name it they've done it and they've been great to work with."

"Joe came in checked the faucet, recognized it was a Moen faucet, called the manufacturer and got the faucet registered so I didn't have to pay for the part.  He was very good about doing his best to save me money.  I am a senior citizen on a limited income and he made sure I could afford the repair.

"Joe from JMS Drain Services was my service technician who arrived well within the window scheduled service time. Joe came in, inspected the sink to determine how to resolve my issue, took out the tool (snake apparatus) to clear the sink, and departed my premises within 15 minutes. I was pleased he resolved my clogged sink so quickly so I could rest after a night's work. Thank you again, Joe."

Sink Installation questions, answered by experts

Once you have your garbage disposal disconnected, you can remove the mounting bracket by unscrewing the bolts that are holding the bracket. You can back them out just enough to pop off the snap ring, which prevents the bottom portion of the bracket from disconnecting from the top when you unscrew the bolts. Use a regular screwdriver to pop off the snap ring, and the rest of the components should fall off by themselves.

For safety when installing a vanity, attaching the vanity to the wall is ideal to prevent it from moving. Typically, sinks must be 4 inches away from bathtubs. Also, most states require that you have 21 inches in front of a sink, but the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA) recommends 30 inches for more comfort.

Yes, you can fit a vanity unit to an existing sink, especially if you plan to custom-build the vanity. With a prefabricated vanity, you’ll likely need to make a few adjustments. It depends on the type of sink, the size of the sink, and the existing plumbing. If you plan to retrofit a sink into a prefabricated vanity, make sure you take precise measurements and that your sink is compatible with the vanity you select. Prefabricated units have a precut sink hole, so you’ll need the size to match your sink.

A well-installed wall-mounted faucet shouldn’t splash. That’s why it’s worth hiring someone with experience installing wall-mounted faucets. Beyond the installation, you should carefully choose the right faucet and sink combination. If your sink splashes after installation, you can try installing an aerator, which lowers the amount of water coming out of the faucet.

Because it’s an engineered stone, quartz composite is much denser than other natural stone alternatives. For instance, if you drop a heavy object in a natural stone sink, there’s a chance the sink could crack, chip, or dent. Quartz’s density means quartz sinks are more resistant to scratches or staining. However, darker quartz sinks are more likely to show scratches or scuffs, and quartz sinks can stain over time.
