"Judd did a great job fixing our fence, and hauled off all of the waste including some waste from other projects that I'd been working on. Outstanding service at a good price, and he saved me a trip to the dump!
Thank you Judd and JSC! Excellent work!

"I came to know of them through Angie’s List. They underbid two other companies. My experience with them was great. He took a lot of time to explain the options because there were some governmental rebates for that kind of work. He did the installation himself and did it very professionally. The owner came out to supervise which was rare. They also had a longer warranty than anybody else that I could find."

"Called one Angie’s List vendor who did not return my call. Called Seth Driggs who was working on a job, but said he’d see me in an hour or so. He showed up on time, and gave me estimates of what the low or high should be to get our drain working again. The drain proved to be uncooperative, he ran his snake out 75 feet, reinstalled the toilet and it still wasn’t working properly. He ran back to the shop to get a cutting end for the snake, removed the toilet, and ran the snake out 75 feet again. We suspected that a grandchild had put something in the drain, but nothing ever tangled in the snake’s end. At any rate, Seth was determined to get it working, an charged me what he’d quoted if he only had pulled the toilet once, although he had to pull it twice and reseal it twice. I highly recommend Seth Driggs for your plumbing needs based on our experience!"

"Dishwasher and ceiling fan service was wonderful. Garbage disposal is on its way, the shower fixture was a little messy and have to return 3 times to fix, pray its the last time. But not Choice Warranty's fault. Alittle pricey but allows you to pay them out."

"The people who remodeled the house had incorrectlly attached the septec tank to the plumbing under the house.  The pipes installed by the remodeler had to be removed and new piping installed.
I found out in February I had terminal cancer.  Joe came over to my home and did a thorough inspection of the plumbing and corrected anything  that might stop, stall or lower the price I needed to get for the house.
Joe has always been helpful when I needed his assistance.  He always has bee extremely responsive and reasonable.  I caln't thank him enoug.

Install Garbage Disposal questions, answered by experts

If your garbage disposal powers up and you can hear it hum, but the arms inside aren’t moving, the problem might be a stubborn clog, a build-up of grease, or a jam of the impeller plate. To troubleshoot these, ensure your unit is off and disconnected from its power source before checking inside the drain or attempting to manually rotate the impeller arms or plate from the underside of the unit. A hex wrench can help.

No, you do not need a garbage disposal to have a dishwasher. A dishwasher will work without one, and while it's rare to see a home with a dishwasher that doesn't have a disposal, it is possible. The two appliances pair well and are often installed together because a disposal simplifies meal cleanup.

However, your dishwasher should not be used as a replacement for a garbage disposal. Subjecting it to continuous food leftovers can lead to major clogs. If you choose not to install a garbage disposal, you should thoroughly rinse your plates or scrape excess food into the trash or a compost pile before loading them into the dishwasher to prevent plumbing issues.

On average, a garbage disposal can last anywhere from 7 to 12 years, with many models functioning well for about 10 years. With heavy usage, a motor may last a minimum of five years, while grinding plates will wear down over time. It's generally a good idea to consider a replacement if your unit is approaching the 10-year mark. Other signs that it's time for a new disposal include frequent leaks, persistent clogs, lingering odors, lack of power, or unusual noises. If your unit is not that old, it's worth investigating if a less expensive part, like a rubber seal or a loose hose, is causing the issue.

Once you have your garbage disposal disconnected, you can remove the mounting bracket by unscrewing the bolts that are holding the bracket. You can back them out just enough to pop off the snap ring, which prevents the bottom portion of the bracket from disconnecting from the top when you unscrew the bolts. Use a regular screwdriver to pop off the snap ring, and the rest of the components should fall off by themselves.

These appliances certainly increase the number of things allowed down the drain, but they’re not foolproof. There are several items you shouldn’t put in your garbage disposal, according to manufacturers and technicians. Don’t put coffee grounds down the drain. The same goes for eggshells, potato peels, hard foods, onion skins, and any dry, expandable food. Most importantly, never put grease or oils down the drain.
