Small jobs welcome

"Brent is the owner. Hired him to do a major clean spring yard clean up. He and his crew of 3 completed the job in one full day. My neighbor says it looks great. He cleaned the roofs and decks and gutters of 3 buildings. I have signed a contract with for Brentâ  s lawn service to maintain the grounds for a year. High recommend. The company has been around for 11 years. Brent the owner is honest, understands the value of customer satisfaction. Kathy"

"I needed a half wall built in my entry. JT was super nice and helped talk the idea through with me. He was able to have it done (built, drywall, texture, staining and trim) in two days. I’ve already talked about upcoming projects with him!"

"Our windows are sparkling like never before. Shane was quick and efficient, and very neat. He did both the inside and outside of our windows and the screens. Shane was pleasant and accommodating. He came out to give us a quote on cleaning our windows. We plan to be using his company in the future."

"Amazing!!! We bought our home 6 months ago and it appeared that the windows had not been washed outside for many years. Both my husband and I tried to clean a few with no success, we could not get the built up water deposits, etc. to come off. The Window Genie crew of two came in and had all our windows sparkling before they left. They were very professional, friendly and worked hard. We will use them again for window washing and the other cleaning services they provide. We highly recommend."

Holiday Decorating questions, answered by experts

Technically, you can use duct tape to hang Christmas lights, but it’s not the best bet. Duct tape or other types of tape retain moisture, which isn’t ideal when near an electrical wire. Plus, it can peel off due to the elements. Duct tape is also a very unattractive option, visually speaking. Instead, opt for roof clips for Christmas lights, which are affordable and easy to use.

Christmas trees need about 100 lights per foot, so you would need 700 lights for a 7-foot tree.

The simplest way to put Christmas lights on any metal surface is by using a magnetic hook or clip. You can also purchase magnetic lights, which should easily stick to any magnetic surface. Keep in mind that not all metals are magnetic. In that case, you’ll need to use a different clip.

In the Christmas days of yore, people braved winter weather to staple or tack their Christmas lights onto their rooftops or nearby surfaces like the fascia boards. Problems quickly emerged with that approach. Damage to the roof, even small marks from staples, provides entryways for moisture and similar issues that can hasten roof rot, wear, and associated leaks. Plus, some homes had tough fiber cement boards or other materials where staples and screws didn’t work.

If you take home a pre-lit Christmas tree but want to spruce it up with blinking lights, don’t worry, there’s a simple solution. You can easily replace the light bulbs on the pre-lit tree with flashing bulbs. For a more subtle look, only replace some of the bulbs with flashing bulbs.
