"Overall, this went very well. We were doing preventative maintenance on a 17-year-old roof. We got the quality we expected at the price we wanted, and Tim made sure everything was to our satisfaction at the end. Would definitely hire again. Price was excellent. The quote was lower than anyone else, but we did do some negotiation to get that price (including going in with 2 neighbors as a volume discount). He quoted using the same high-quality materials and crews that other companies did. Quality was excellent. The roof looks great, with ridge vents instead of the old box vents. They even changed a bathroom vent to go vertically per code (no add'l charge). They made sure the roof was protected before they left each night. Some plants did get flattened, and the glass in our back door got scratched, but Tim offered to make it right without any hesitation. The workers were great. They were respectful. They smiled and said hi. And otherwise, they kept to themselves. They cleaned the site up well afterwards. We found a few nails left in the driveway, nowhere else. Timing was... fine. We said our timing was flexible since our old roof wasn't leaking. We received and signed the quote in mid-April. Originally planned for 3-4 weeks out, but the work ultimately took place in mid June. I do think we could have been moved up if we'd needed it. We were originally told 1 day to do it all; it took more like 1.5 days, plus a small break for weather, plus a little time on the third day to reattach vents in the attic. No biggie, but one day did seem rather optimistic. It's what I would expect for a job this size."

"We purchased the unlimited consultation package. Amanda is very friendly and professional. We struggled because we were looking for someone to consult with out of the box ideas. Once she understood our vision she could move forward, but innovation was not her strength. We paid an additional amount for drawings. These were detailed, and while not all changes were made as requested, we were able to get some value from them. In hindsight, I would not pay $99 for drawings. Any cabinet retailer will do these for you for free, which I did not know until afterwards. The company wants you to spend time telling them about your style, which ours is Country French. The first cabinet rendition we received was black expresso. We did a complete kitchen tear out so this may work fine for smaller jobs or if you have done this before. It just didn't work for us with distance and what we needed. I was able to find someone locally that sold the cabinets we wanted and she was a wealth of information and things moved much faster. Good luck to HMD. It's a good idea and the person we dealt with we liked personally."
