Two Men And A Truck

The two young men that loaded our truck were very friendly and respectful. However, the loading job was extremely poor. When we arrived at our destination, the movers who unloaded (also with Two Men and a Truck) stated numerous times how terrible the packing job was. All heavy furniture was placed on top of boxes and totes, completely crushing many of the boxes. We had a damaged wagon, elliptical, sitting room chair set and more. I reported this to the company immediately. I was offered a $250 refund. I explained that the damage was not the potential fault of the moving vehicle or driver; that had the truck been loaded properly and boxes not crushed by heavy furniture, damage would have been mitigated. This office manager was unwilling to do anything further. Please note- Two Men and a Truck Urbandale does not stand behind their work and if you have damaged items, you have zero recourse. Very unsatisfied with the way this office conducts business and treats their customers.

Everything went very well. The movers are courteous, positive, and professional. Nothing broke or damaged.

They were on time and the move went perfectly. Two Men and a Truck are pretty expensive, but you get what you pay for.

Extremely professional and friendly, very good price. The movers were helpful and knowledgeable, they made sure we were aware of any issues or concerns, and they were great to work with. Every step of the process - from estimating to signing off on the final delivery - was easy, enjoyable (as enjoyable as moving could be), and efficient.

I've used numerous movers over the years. I chose Two Men and a truck (Urbandale, IA) because I thought that they would do a good job. Thanks to their carelessness I now have a sofa that is broken and is L shaped, a demolished clothing rack, some destroyed art (water-color paintings) and a missing family heirloom and a missing Macbook PRO laptop. I contacted them about the damage and was given the "I don't care - not my problem attitude". Additionally they scraped up the walls and door way of the house that I moved from, and one of the movers who was constantly chewing sunflower seeds spit them everywhere, both inside and outside my home! I don't feel that it's my responsibility to clean up his mess. Upon opening some of the boxes I discovered that one of the movers clearly doesn't believe in using any packing material, as he just threw loose items in a box and taped it shut! Now I'm stuck with broken and missing items. I've been stewing over this for 2 years now! Living in the Twin Cities I had numerous options to choose from for moving companies. I stupidly chose this company because I have a family member who works for them and he did a fabulous and extremely careful job of packing things. Unfortuntately, when he was busy and not watching dumb and dumber things went horribly wrong! It's an enormous shame that the other two movers apparently needed constant supervision. The wretched way that this company treated me when I reports damage is proof that they don't give a darn. Not only will I NEVER use this company again, I've made it very clear to friends (in the Des Moines area - where they are located) that this company is not to be trusted with any move because they simply don't care! I am moving again and I'm certain that I'll enjoy sitting on the floor in my new living room because my sofa is absolutely unusable. To make matters worse, I gave them a generous tip. If I had known the outcome of the move, I would have used that money, which is gone, to replace and repair my missing and broken items. Shame on Two Men and a Truck! Their carelessness is clear and I will go out of my way to make certain that everyone I come into contact knows about my awful experience! I have a job as a personnel manager and am in contact with hundred of people on a regular basis, not to mention that my family is well known in multiple states, which gives me a greater opportunity to share the story of my wretched experience! Shame on them!!!

The guys arrived right on time. They walked through the house with us and determined everything we needed moved, then parked the truck and went to work. They proceeded to work like demons without letting up at all. We had a large sectional that needed to be partially disassembled to move. They carefully removed the necessary pieces and reassembled them at the new house. The whole time, they were joking with my wife and I and one another (never stopping the work, of course). They were friendly and kind and really made the whole process an absolute joy. They were as careful with our belongings as I can imagine they would be with their own. At the end of the day, they moved so quickly that the final total came in almost $75 under the lowest estimate. We were extremely happy with the service and would (and have been) recommending Two Men and a Truck to everyone we know.

It did not go well. They behaved unprofessionally with another coworker while in front of me. Upon inspection of the move, they did damage some of my furniture. I did not like the way I was treated when I reported the damage. I also did not like that there were other items that were scratched and damaged that I found later.

The move went well and the movers were very experienced. We had accident with a popcorn machine and had a glass panel break, but the company showed up a week later with a brand new one. They went above and beyond to satisfy us so they get an A+ from us!

All three young men were very friendly & personable. And hard-working! It made me tired just watching them!  They worked non-stop for 6 1/2 hours, with only a 15 minute break (which they did not charge us for!) and the driving time between homes as "rest" time. They put everything exactly where we requested & made sure that all furniture was assembled & positioned properly before moving on the next piece. We've used this company for several moves & will continue to do so in the future!

Experience could not have been better. Guys were great and worked very hard and fast. I would recommend to anyone.
