Thank you for considering us. I stared in pest control back in 1971 working for a large national firm. I loved it from the beginning but early on dreamed of owning my own business. Partly to be the master of my own destiny but also to do better by the people I serviced. After 4 years of working in the industry and reading every thing I could get my hands I took the plunge. Fast forward 36 years and today we are 4 employees strong. I know that might not sound like much but we only service the Des Moines metro area so in the very local area, house for house, we are really one of the larger firms. We’re a family business. My wife Donna answers the phone, her 32 years experience along with continued Pest Management education will get you off to a great start on the first phone call. I know it’s many of father’s dreams to work with his son and that happened for us in 2006. His name is Chris, I couldn’t be any prouder of him as a son and pest professional. Tim Grimes came to us in 2011 after 14 year working in pest management and also serving a past President of the Iowa Pest Management Association. I’m not going to blow my own horn but I will say I’ve been around a wile.

You will need to discuss with your pest control expert to know when and what to clean after the treatment. Sometimes, you may have to wait a couple of weeks for deep cleaning to avoid wiping up the treatment they applied.

In places like Florida, it can run from February to November, but in the Pacific Northwest, mosquitoes appear in April and can hang around until the end of October. While the hottest summer months are when they are at peak population, mosquito seasons are extending in many regions because of the increase in annual temperatures.

The same heat treatment that’s effective on flea eggs will also destroy the adults. There are four stages of the flea life cycle—egg, larva, pupa, and adult—and you’ll have to keep all of them in mind when taking on a pest infestation in your home.

You should not see live bed bugs after heat or fumigation treatments, but you may see dead bugs. For chemical treatments, it can take several days for bed bugs to die. However, you may see live bed bugs if they are hiding in areas to avoid insecticides or if they are resilient to the type of treatment used.
