"Drive way was compacted and over grown with grass, weeds, and allowing water into the garage. Had a hill on one side of the house lower against the foundation, getting water in basement. Needed a patio to replace the rotted deck and allow my dog run. Did a great job, hired to rejuvenate and gravel driveway which looks awesome, remove hill along side of house place dirt against house and leave a swell between property to not cause an issue for my neighbor, much dryer in the basement, removed what was left of my rotted deck to put in a patio sloped away from the house. Was too hot for me but they showed up and got everything done quicker than I thought it would be. Very happy I was able to hire them"

"Jack is a master of his craft and a perfectionist. My seven year old put it best when she said, "daddy, Jack sure knows a lot". He has replaced pillars on our front porch and completely remodeled two bathrooms in our house. In terms of the bathrooms he did everything from the plumbing to wiring to tiling. He is also comes with a great personality. He is patient when our young daughters want to see what he is up and has been great to have around the house. Very professional. On time. Always tidy. His bids are extremely reasonable and well worth the cost. We are very pleased and will use Jack for all our projects - even if we have to wait. As an aside, our hot water heater happened to fail while I was out of town and he was working on our bathrooms. He fixed it right away, even hauling away the old water heater. I couldn't have been more thankful (as was my wife)!"

Fire Pit Installation questions, answered by experts

You don’t have to put smoke detectors in every room. At a minimum, though, there should be one on every level of your home, one in every bedroom, and one in the hallways outside the bedrooms. If you have a floor without bedrooms, place a smoke detector in the living room or next to any stairs that lead to an upper level. Attics and basements should also have at least one smoke alarm.

You can let a fire burn out in a fireplace as long as you or someone else will stick around to monitor it until it goes completely out. This may take several hours. To prepare, stop adding fuel to the fire well before you’re ready to call it a night. If you’re using the fireplace for warmth, you’ll want to cover up in some blankets as the flame dies down.

No, you should never leave a fireplace burning overnight or unattended during the day. While fireplaces are made to contain fires, fires can and do spread from fireplaces, so it’s crucial that you’re there to monitor them and put them out if needed. If you’re worried about putting out a fire before bed, stop feeding it fuel long before bedtime and actively put out the fire using your poker, a shovel, and some baking soda.

Bioethanol fireplaces are safe when users follow the instructions and maintain the fireplace. Ethanol is flammable, however, and should be kept away from flammable surfaces, children, and pets.

There are several tools available to help prevent electrical fires. First, ensure that you have GFCI outlets installed in necessary areas, along with an AFCI, which is a circuit breaker that can help prevent arc-faults. Investing in surge protectors is also wise, as they can safeguard your appliances and other items against power surges that may overload your outlet and cause sparking.
