Customers say: Quick response

"We worked with Jack for about 5 weeks on a kitchen/downstairs remodel. He arrived on time every day and is just a really nice guy. And he did excellent work. Jack went above and beyond on everything he did...fixing cracks before painting, etc. We're thrilled with everything he did and highly recommend him to all of our friends."

Small jobs welcome

"Crew of 3 arrived early and on time. Knocked out the bathroom demo in 3 hours. No problems and very outgoing and curtious crew. Clean up could have been a bit better and there seemed to be a leak at the toilet shutoff valve after job completion where there was none before. Had to run out for a cap for pipe after discovering the ceiling in kitchen leaking. But may rehire to pull rugs and flooring to prep for new flooring later."

"I was worried about the wall being uneven during the DIY process, but it turned out not to be as I'd hoped. Great workmanship! Thank you so much! I'm also grateful for listening to me, understanding exactly what I wanted, and giving me some advice!"

"Louis was professional, courteous, kind, knowledgable, and informative. I would hire him again, and again, rinse and repeat. It did seem a little pricey, but I don't know what his actual accrued costs were to complete the task."

Pool Table Assembly questions, answered by experts

No, you shouldn’t be able to taste the salt at all since saltwater pools only contain about 10% of the salt you’d find in ocean water. Saltwater pools do create some chlorine, though, so you should still try not to drink the water.

Both above ground and inground pools can have pool liners. Inground pools made of gunite don’t need pool liners, and you’ve probably walked along an unlined pool and felt the ripples and ridges on the floors and walls. But adding a liner over gunite or other pool types helps protect the wall panels from algae growth.

Gunite pools are not exactly easy to maintain—but we wouldn't call them "high maintenance." It's one of the longest-lasting pool options, but its porous surface does require a lot of care. You’ll need to thoroughly clean the pool often to prevent stubborn algae growth, and the pool will require higher chemical levels to keep it clean.

Technically, you can fill in a pool yourself—with the caveat that filling in a pool requires the ability to drain the pool properly and move a substantial amount of dirt, which aren’t beginner DIY skills. If you want to fill in a pool, you’re better off hiring a local pool removal professional.

A good rule of thumb is to add one or two 40-pound bags of salt for every inch of rain, but you’ll want to test your salt levels first to ensure you’re adding the right amount. Rainwater can dilute the salt levels in your pool, so after significant rainfall, test the levels and add the appropriate amount of salt to bring it back to the ideal level.
