"JD was very efficient in communication and made time for me the very next day. He thoroughly inspected the chair and had supplies with him to make a new support for the spring while creatively repairing my chair in less then an hour with the new support stronger then the manufactured one on the other side. He was reasonably priced, cleaned up after himself, was very honest and assured me if there was any issues with the chair to let him know and he would be back free of charge to reassess and fix. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!"

"2 decks replaced. Got those jobs done ok. He took on a large tree removal job. Had to have a pro come and take it down. Never got my second tree done which was on the contract that he said he could do it. I paid him in full of contract. But his cleanup by my tree that got removed. He did a very sloppy job and only put dark dirt on the tree stump that barely got drilled out. Plus put dirt on part of the area that got damaged. Left a lot of damaged areas without the good dirt put over it. The dirt was all ruined from the large tree service going on and removing very heavy bottom of the tree. Also had grass all ruined from equipment that picks up heavy trees at the largest bottom of tree. Doesn't think he was suppose to put dark dirt over that. So I'm stuck with brown dirt on parts where they ruined. They seeded on soil that will never grow grass. Had heavy rains day after and seeds are washed out. Didn't get my land level. Would not recommend hiring them for tree removal or trimming!"

"It was astounding what he did. He was so professional. We were not prepared for the move at all. When we sold our building, we didn't expect an "instant" closing. We had to move quickly. Jesus walked in on a Saturday with his crew of 3 men and started organizing. Within one week he had cleared out 5500 square feet that was packed to the 10 foot ceilings with 25 years worth of fragile electronics equipment.  Jesus didn't just move it, he put everything exactly where it belonged in the new building. It was unbelievable. Everything was neat in our new location. Jesus is a jack of all trades, he does lawn work, mowing, landscaping work and plowing in the winter. I intend to use him this summer. I was stunned by how good his price was."

Pole Barn Builders questions, answered by experts

There's no simple answer to which is less costly: wood or metal-framed homes. In most cases, metal building components cost more than wooden ones, while entire metal buildings cost less than wooden versions. However, regardless of the exterior framing or structure, each must meet similar building codes. This means that the costs are about the same, even considering that wood will require more maintenance than metal over time.

You may need a local building permit and written permission from your homeowner’s association to install a shed, especially if you’re doing any substantial land clearing or installing electricity or plumbing. Permit requirements vary between municipalities, so research the local laws before starting your project. If you hire a contractor to build the shed, they can help determine which permits will be necessary.

The lifespan of a barn is typically 40 to 60 years, but with skillful construction and proper maintenance, it can last up to 100 years. The actual lifespan depends on several factors, including the barn type, materials, usage, and climate. For example, the posts of a pole barn should last 50 years or longer, but if the structure is used for livestock in a rainy climate, it may rot within the first decade. Custom designs with high-end materials tend to last the longest. To get the best estimate for your barn's lifespan, you should consider its material type and intended use.

The maximum size of a tiny home you can move depends on your state transportation guidelines, but the rule of thumb is a maximum of 400 square feet. However, as long as it falls within the local limits for traveling on public roadways, you should be good to hit the road.

Whether it is better to buy or build a chicken coop depends on your priorities, primarily cost versus time and effort. Building your own chicken coop can be significantly more budget-friendly, often costing about half as much as buying a pre-made one. If you have the time and skills, building a coop from scratch is the most economical option. However, if your time or skills are limited, buying a kit and hiring a handyperson to assemble it can be more cost-effective than hiring a carpenter to build a custom coop from scratch. If you want a perfectly constructed coop without sacrificing your own time and energy, buying one is the easiest choice.
