  It is hard-pressed to find a company that communicates as well as they get the job done but the guys at Arborway have been amazing. They were quick to come out and give us a quote. Called the day before to let us know the time they would be here. Were here on time. The crew of 5-6 guys worked skillfully & ambitiously to get the trees trimmed (even in the rain!). Cleaned up all debris. Unfortunately, one of our trees may not make it. Not only were they able to give us a quote to take down that tree, they referred us to an arborist to make sure nothing else come be done before having to take it down. It was clear that these guys are true professionals and care about their customers. Will definitely use Arborway for all our future tree needsshow more

  My basement got flooded couple of years ago due to heavy rains over july 4th weekend. It’s due to my home seller’s poor landscaping work. Bill worked on this project in April 2020, and fixed this grading issue around my window well. He also did a really nice landscaping work around it, installed drain tail, catch basins, grounded gutters, and adjusted grading to improve drainage, reseeded the area. Bill and his crew is very professional and they finished the project couple of days early. He kept us in the loop throughout the project, answered lot of questions and made this expensive project less stressful. I been wanting to see how his grading project is going to work during heavy rains. Finally yesterday evening we got some heavy rains in Ankeny and I could able see the project in action. My sump pump hardly ran during the rain. I didn’t see any rain water coming into my window well. Water was nicely flowed into the drain tail and towards street. I am happy and satisfied with Bill’s work. Bill and his crew is very thorough, professional and I would highly recommend themshow more

Each spring we are sent a reminder of service and are allowed to select which applications we want for the summer. Their is a great discount for payment in advance. Creative Landscaping's prices are much better than the big corporation lawn care services and being locally owned and family run are very evident in the service we receive. Any time we have questions or need additional work, they are very responsive, open, honest, and fair about their work and prices.   We had a 3 foot wide river rock with brick border placed along the front, side, and back of our house. We also had some more river rock installed around and under our deck.   The folks at Friend Landscaping did extensive work on an extremely shady, ¼-acre yard that had almost no grass, inappropriate plantings in the middle of the yard, and had been dug up for various repairs and remodeling. Work included tearing out old, rotted landscaping and plants, grading, adding to a retention wall, rock landscaping and extensive seeding. Bill Friend, the owner, is generally onsite throughout the project and is an absolutely, outstanding person with whom to work. He offered suggestions to hold costs down as well as ideas for problem areas. He is an excellent communicator, keeping us apprised of the project status at all times. He is also very conscientious about daily clean-up. Bill is a very kind man who takes pride in his work and cares about his customers. The change in our yard's appearance from messy, muddy and plant-cluttered to green and lush is nothing short of a miracle. I would not use anyone else for landscaping needsshow more

  I called Bill to get a bid for yard grading. With the recent storms, I was concerned about the possibility of water coming into the house. Bill reviewed our options but recommended we wait as he did not see the grading as an immediate need. If we have any future yard or snow removal needs I will definitely call Bill as I respect his honesty. He could have easily sold me on spending money on a project that is not an immediate needshow more

  Very well. First, their estimator came quickly after contact and did a good job describing what they could do for us and gave us an estimate, which we accepted. They originally scheduled us for mid-July, but something must have cancelled and they contacted us the next day to see if it would be ok to come yesterday, May 22, and we gladly accepted. They showed up with 6 men and lots of excellent equipment for the job including a powerful, but small and mobile chipper. We had them blow the chips into a gully that has formed in our woods, leading to a ravine which has some erosion problem. They worked exceptionally hard, fast and efficiently. The 2 owners are part of the crew and we were able to adjust the job to include some trees that we had thought might be too big, but they handled itshow more
