"Jonathon removed my tree and then removed my stump for an additional charge, which is industry standard. Jonathan asked what I wanted done with the debris, I said I would dispose of it myself. Jonathan was willing to supply the dirt for an additional fee, which is industry standard. I would highly recommend Jonathan and his guys."

"They contacted me very soon after I requested a quote to see what worked needed to be done. They replied soon after with a quote. After accepting the quote, they set up a date & time within a couple of weeks. They arrived on time & got the job done within a couple of hours, doing what I asked of them and cleaning up. I would definitely hire them again. Thanks so much Questen & Forrest!"

"Kari and Jay were a couple of the nicest people We have had the pleasure to get to know. They got to our home right on time. They were super considerate of our property, got to work right away, asked questions before moving forward on anything unexpected and did excellent work in a short amount of time. Can’t give them enough kudos. Thanks Kari and Jay."

Leaf Removal questions, answered by experts

If your home was built before 1978, there’s a chance that any paint on your hardwood floors could be lead paint—especially if it was already there when you moved in. Because lead is toxic, hiring a licensed pro to remove it is mandatory. The average price for professional lead paint removal ranges from $1,500 to $5,300 and depends on the scope of the project.

Embarking on a kitchen demolition comes with its share of risks to keep in mind. Think of potential encounters with asbestos, sharp objects, and power tools—not to mention the peril of structures wobbling or unexpected plumbing surprises. And, of course, you will be surrounded by dust and debris throughout the process. All of the above makes safety gear necessary, or you can consider hiring a qualified professional.

Lead toxicity comes from inhaling lead or consuming it. Before the 1980s, when the government banned lead from consumer use, it could be found in paint, plumbing, pipes, ceramics, and even gasoline. Lead paint is toxic for the same reason lead itself is toxic, which is why lead poisoning from paint presents the same as lead poisoning from water or food sources, with a slight increase in respiratory symptoms vs. digestive symptoms. Lead paint is most dangerous when it’s old and peeling, cracking, or otherwise disturbed. This increases the concentration in the air and, therefore, in breathable air.

You can sell a house with lead paint, but there are several requirements. If you are aware that lead paint exists anywhere in the home, you must disclose that to potential buyers. Required home inspections will often uncover lead paint, especially for older houses where lead paint may still be a problem. If you have taken steps to encapsulate lead, you should provide buyers with full documentation of the project so it won’t cause any problems later on.

Chlorine has a shelf life of between six months and several years, depending on its type and formulation. Liquid chlorine can often lose its effectiveness in just a few weeks. Pool owners can find themselves with overstock that they need to get rid of. The best way to dispose of excess chlorine is to take it to a hazardous waste collection site and let the pros handle it.
