"I had Illinois Valley Insulation at my house to blow in insulation in my garage attic. I was told by the owner Scott Bickett that I needed an R30 value which means I would need about 8 1/4” of insulation blown in. He was paid in cash($1500 paid in full but only did half the work), and a couple of days later I went up there and measured and only have about 4 1/2 inches so he only did about half the work and charged full price. And when I confronted him, he told me there’s8 to 10 inches up there which is a lie and I’ve given him every opportunity to call come by Measure and prove to me that is there, but he has failed to do so because he is just proving my point that he is in the wrong. And now he still will not provide me with a receipt so he’s trying to keep the cash and hide it like he didn’t do the Work very unprofessional."

"Failed to show up on agreed upon work date due to overbooking. Bid vinyl for an aluminum replacement, then was unresponsive about bidding aluminum. When we decided to go elsewhere, six months later they sent us an invoice for an additional, arbitrary $3k for work not performed. We disputed the invoice and never heard back until we got another invoice another seven months later seeking double the original amount including monthly interest and an ‘overhead & profit’ fee."

My services include taking the client shopping to pick out materials, and picking up purchased materials at no cost to the client. I also make sure the work-site it always cleaned up at the end of the day, so there is no mess for the client to come home to. I follow up with the client after the job is complete to see if there are questions or concerns.
