Lance has assisted us with couple of home inspections. He is very accessible in the run-up to the inspection and encourages prospective home buyers to closely follow him throughout the event and ask all the questions they'd like. He is loyal and makes it clear to all parties present (i.e. seller's agent/sellers) that he works for the buyers and that the information he derives from the inspection is the property of the buyers. His thoroughness and attention to detail are off the chart. He provides a comprehensive report complete with color photos of all assessed areas of concern...and this report is printed and given to the buyers ON SITE at the completion of the inspection.  A soft copy is also sent to the buyers (not even the buyer's agent receives a copy unless approved by buyers).  Lance has saved us on at least two occasions when issues were uncovered that were so complicated or potentially severe that we extracted ourselves safely from the process. In one of these instances he found a major issue during the first 10 minutes of the inspection and did not even charge us! Lance is the best.

The entire experience was wonderful. We had to reschedule to coordinate our, our realtor, and the homeowners schedules. Lance and Mark were willing to work with us to accommodate the schedule changes. The inspection was great. We had lots of questions and concerns that Mark was able to review with us. When we asked him questions or to go back over items (sometimes multiple times) with us he was always very patient. He was knowledgable on the home and construction quality and had good tips or ideas for remodeling projects we were pondering. We would both recommend them to our friends or family.

Lance showed up early and got down to business right away. He was polite,informative, and completely professional. He answered even the most inane of questions as he led us around the exterior of the house pointing out very minor issues. He allayed our fears about the gradient of the non-landscaped backyard (we had been worried about water run-off coming from under the neighbor's back fence and flooding our property) being able to handle heavy rainfall. The roof appeared to have almost no issues either. Relieved, we entered the house and everything seemed to be in order, as would be expected on a new home that had not yet been lived in, so now all that was left was the basement. We adjourned down the stairs expecting Lance to give our soon-to-be new home a clean bill of health. To our surprise, Lance pointed out that only three of the four major support columns in the basement had been properly isolated from the concrete slab. Disheartening news, but what a great catch! Thereafter, we sought advice from structural engineers and went back-and-forth with the home builder and, long story short, we ended up walking away from purchasing that particular house for fear that its structural integrity was compromised. Lance probably saved us thousands of dollars in headaches and heartaches! We highly recommend his excellent service and will surely be using his services again in the near future.

I've hired numerous home inspectors over the years. After moving to Colorado, I had to find a new inspector for the home we're purchasing in Colorado Springs. I found Lance online, and the entire experience was awesome.
Lance showed up a few minutes early and was well underway when I arrived at the house. We had a bit of an odd situation on our hands, as the current homeowner was there, which hindered our ability to have frank conversations about his findings. We were able to work around that situation (Lance was very professional with everyone involved) and Lance found some issues we will have addressed by the current homeowner.
When the inspection was complete, Lance printed out a full report and put it in a binder for me. He also included some extras such as a home maintenance checklist and record book. I was blown away, since in the past I've only had inspectors email me their reports. It was helpful to have the binder for reference when we were discussing the options regarding the home contract.
Lance was awesome, if I ever have a need for a home inspection again in the future, I will call Lance in a heartbeat.

Mar also arrived early for my inspection and had the exterior completed before my arrival. He still took time to explain in detail every issue and answered all questions. He was completely thorough with the interior as he checked for gas leaks and ensured all plumbing was draining well. Was impressed with final report, which was presented to me in detail within a binder before we departed. Very thorough and efficient. Thanks Mark!

I was very pleased with this service. The inspector that came out was named Mark, he was very kind and easy to talk to about and professional. He explained things to me that I did not understand in great detail. Before I got there(I was 10 minutes early), he had already inspected the outside of the home and roof, which saved time which I was pressed for that day. He was very thorough, he even pointed out and wrote in the report that there was a half inch tear in one of my window screens. Inside the house, he checked to make sure every outlet was working, checked every smoke and CO2 detector, opened every window, checked every appliance, and ran every faucet. He was very thorough in the house as well and wrote down every little thing wrong. In the crawl space, very tiny, he looked over every inch and wrote down everything. In the end, he gave me a printed copy of the inspection in a plastic binder so it would not get damaged. In the inspection folder was detailed descriptions of everything wrong along with pictures and speech bubble graphics that pointed out the exact problem. He also emailed me a digital copy of the inspection. Overall I was very pleased, no complaints at all. Also, they were cheaper than most inspectors advertise.

Mark from A Precise Home Inspection arrived early and had the external inspection completed before we even arrived at the house, and spent about 4 hours doing the internal inspection, and then compiling the inspection report before he left.  The inspection was supposed to take about 3 hours, but he spent quite a bit of time providing information and answering questions, so he was there for an extra hour or so.  He was very friendly, but professional and focused on getting the job done (as opposed to chatting about hte weather and such).
The price was a bit higher than many of their competitors, but they are well-trained and did a quality, thorough job - overall, we were very pleased with the work, and would definitely recommend them.

Lance provided an up-front summary of all aspects of the home inspection and provided an estimate based on the size of the house. 
Lance showed up early and was complete with the exterior inspection before I arrived. He walked me through the complete inspection of the interior, as well as provided a thorough explanation of what we inspection outside. He answered all my questions in a clear, concise manner and was very transparent with everything he inspected. 
Lance provided both digital and hard copies of the inspection findings. The findings were thorough, detailed, and easy to understand. He was a joy to work with. 
I called Lance to follow up on a couple items, once approximately 2 weeks after the inspection and once over a month following the inspection. Both times Lance was extremely patient and helpful, answering all questions to my satisfaction.

Mark Jones was our inspector and we were very pleased with his inspection and the man himself.  Mark arrived earlier than our appointment time so he had completed most of the outside inspection by the time we pulled up to the house.  Once inside he quickly set up his equipment and started the inside inspection.  As he went around the house he pointed out what he was looking for and helpful information about the house.  He took many pictures.  At the end of the inspection Mark provided a written report that he printed out right there.  The written report also contained detailed pictures of the all items that he inspected.  Mark then went over the results of his inspection using the report. I really liked the detailed report about the roof with the pictures backing up his words.  His report provided us with the confidence to go ahead with the purchase of our soon to be new home. 
We also had Mark start a radon inspection for us.  The test equipment was set up in the basement and allowed to run for two days (a short inspection).  We had the the results the same morning that he picked up his equipment.
We were well satisfied with the worked provided by A PRECISE HOME INSPECTION INC and highly recommend them.

Lance Hayward did a very thorough job, was punctual and responsive to all questions.  He was totally honest and open with everything. The inspection took 2 hours and at the end we received a detailed printed report and he emailed a pdf of that also.  On the radon, he did not just look at the mean level but how it fluctuated over time (max and min levels).  There may be a signifcant issue with the type of  siding on the house and he advised speaking to an expert .- which we are doing.

I spent $400 for the inspection and $125 for radon. It was very good. They were very thorough. They took the time to explain what everything meant and answered all our questions.

He caught leaks and mold that the current homeowners did not disclose in the Disclosure contract.
It help me decide that I should not invest in that particular house due to lack of homeowners not telling the truth and
lack of maintence on the home. Which saved me thousands of dollars if I would of purchased the home.

I contacted A Precise Home Inspection based on recommendations from my real estate agent, cross-references with Angies List.  Both gave excellent reviews. My inspection happened a few days later. My inspector, Mark Jones, was early for the appointment and told me all of his inspection findings for the roof and gutters.  Mark took hundreds of photos top to bottom, inside and out, including a one car detatched garage. He explained all the areas of inspection thoroughly including all of the good and bad in detail. Mark took his time. At the end of the inspection, he highlighted areas of concern including, most inportantly, structually, for which he recommended a structural engineer review. It was apparent that the 118 year old home I was considering for purchase was in trouble. At the end of the inspection, he gave me a detailed loose leaf binder filled in indexed order with pages outlining the entire inspection. It included many photos. Each section of the binder also highlighted the areas of concern, both major concern and potential safely hazard. At the end of the report was a list of items to be repaired, areas of concern and areas of safety hazard. Mark Jones of A Precise Home Inspection was  thoroughly knowledgeable, personable and professional and I appreciated the fact he was not a bit "put off" by me carrying around a copy of Mike Holmes Inspection book during my inspection. I would highly recommend A Precise Home Inspection.

Lance arrived at the site early enough that he completed the outside inspection, including the roof, before the scheduled time.  He walked me through all of his exterior findings and made sure I didn't have any unanswered questions. Then he completed an extremely thorough inspection of the interior, encouraging me to follow along and ask questions as he went.  He made sure I was aware of and understood all of his findings. He provided a detailed written report, which included pictures he took, on the spot as well as emailing a soft copy.
While my realtor recommended Lance to me, I performed a lot of research, including looking at all of the contractors listed on Angie's List, performing a Google search of home inspection contractors in the area, and interviewing several candidates.  While Lance was not the least expensive, he was price competitive. The fact that he has numerous endorsements from realtors as well as satisfied clients, coupled with his credentials and the fact that he is the president of the local chapter of inspection contractors, sealed the deal for me.  I was not disappointed!

The home inspector is great.  He is very efficient.  I had to cancel twice on two other houses.  He was totally fine and okay.  He is very friendly.  He is pretty thorough.  He does inspection pretty well.  He is very good gentleman.  I would rate him highly across the board. I would definitely use him in the future.

Very positive experience from a first time homebuyer's perspective. The inspector arrived early and had completed the roofing inspecting prior to my arrival. Once I arrived we walk around the exterior and identified problem areas, he noted before I got there. Next, we proceeded with the interior inspection room by room and there were lots of photos taken that were included in the final report along area inspected. All appliances were check for operability. At the conclusion of the inspection, the inspector showed the locations of the main shut-off vavles and labeled each one. The final report is created right there on the property and placed in a binder. The report includes photos of problems area, a home maintenance guide, and time period for expected home repair and servicing. My overall experience was excellent and I would highly recommend the company to home buyers.
