"Salesman that we were to replace dry wall. Later learned we were to have it removed. Attempts to reach supervisors and owners resulted in zero until time to do installation. Gave $1300+ down. Note: this went to the salesman, not to MABS. Then salesman stated $12,000 more if MABS removed the dry wall. Paid salesman and his friend to remove it but didn't do all of it! Sent certified letters to Cedar Rapids address after we got no verbal responses to phone calls. Later learned they receive no mail there, only in Davenport. Were to have GFI outlet placed at far end of basement. 3 electricians said not possible. Also discharge was to be underground to rear of yard which we thought meant to back! House sits on clay. Was to discharge under ground out 10 feet from house. Canceled installation and have found that other basement waterproofing companies do not require 2.5 feet of dry wall removed: only baseboard. Cost was same as MABS. Now we must pay to have drywall installed after the waterproofing is completed."

You can stop a leak with plumber’s tape, but it’s not a recommended way to repair a leak. To install it, you have to dismantle the plumbing connection, apply plumber’s tape, and then re-install the pieces. 

There are better options for a temporary fix for leaking pipes, such as repair sleeves, epoxy compounds, or pipe clamps.

The best place for a kitchen sink drain is the middle of the sink. Most people prefer center drains because they allow for better water and waste drainage, and the center location limits splashing because water flows straight down the drain hole. If the sink drain is too close to the edge of the sink, water can collect and drain too slowly. It can also be easier to clean sinks when the drain is closer to the center since debris is easier to wash down and doesn’t collect along the sides as easily.

You will need a plumber to install a kitchen faucet if your installation requires modifications to your plumbing system. However, if none of these modifications are needed, a faucet installation pro can do the job. In a pinch, you can also outsource the project to a handyperson or simply go the DIY route.

Another common question is, what pressure should your well tank be set at? The standard rule of thumb is to set your well tank’s pressure at 2 psi below the cut-on point of your pressure switch.
