If the carpeting in the home has not been changed in a long time, clearing off the padding underneath could be difficult. Pet urine can wreak havoc on carpeting and the flooring underneath. Carpet stretching isn’t permanent, but it can last anywhere from two to six years. The longevity of this project depends on the quality of the carpet and whether it’s in a high-traffic area. Standard padding works like a sponge. It absorbs liquid, soaking up every drop of moisture that hits it.
