"Terrible service!! Never use this company! ! We hired him to install our appliances and Sid wouldn't even read the manual on how to install them. We had to read it and then point out what he was doing wrong. He installed our over the hood microwave completely crooked and said that was the best he could do. And it took us telling him 5 times that the he needed to switch things on the microwave (per the installation manual) to get it to vent out the back not the top! He then proceeded to put in our cooktop without using any of the brackets provided until I asked him to. Sid slid in our wall oven and continued to mess with the electrical cords without even putting in the two screws that hold the oven in!! Sid had to come back the following day to try and connect the appliances and then complained some more about how our electrician had prepped the outlet boxes. In the end he tried to come back the next day to finish, making this installation 3 days long, by this time I had had enough I asked him if he could at least put in the oven screws before he left and he wouldn't even do that! Once he left I called my electrician to come finish the work beacuse I didn't trust Sid to do it properly since everything else he did was such a crappy job. I was super disappointed in this experience and felt that I had been ripped off, because after the crappy job he did I still had to pay him $800!! We could have done a better job with the installation ourselves!"

The safest option is to let a technician conduct the inspection. However, if you are certain that the capacitor failed and you take all precautions to avoid electric shock, you can take a look yourself. Usually, you can open the front panel of the unit and use a flashlight to find the small capacitor cylinder. It should have a sticker on it that provides its product number, capacity, and similar information that you can note when talking to a contractor.

No, you should not run two refrigerators on the same circuit as it is likely to overload the circuit and cause the breaker to trip or worse—cause an electrical fire. Each standard-size refrigerator should be on a dedicated 20-amp circuit. You should never plug a refrigerator into an extension cord or power strip as it can cause serious safety hazards. Refrigerators have built-in surge protection that safeguards them from the damage of power surges.

Yes, if something sparks when you plug it in or turn it on, it's important to unplug it immediately. A spark from an electrical appliance or device could indicate a short circuit, damaged wiring, or other electrical problems that could cause electrical fires or electrical shock. By unplugging the appliance, you can reduce the risk of electrical hazards and prevent damage to the device itself. It's important to avoid using the appliance until it has been inspected and repaired by a licensed professional to ensure that it’s safe to use.

There are a few factors to consider if you’re deciding between repairing and replacing your air conditioner. It’s probably worth fixing the AC unit if it’s less than 10 years old, you’re dealing with a one-off issue, and your warranty or maintenance plan will cover the repairs. On the other hand, if your air conditioner is dated, inefficient, out of warranty, and experiencing multiple problems, consider replacing it.

The appliances that frequently experience problems are the appliances that get used the most and have to deal with strong forces. These forces, like doors slamming, are a common cause of issues with washers, dryers, ovens, and dishwashers. Couple that with the fact that these are usually the most used appliances in a house, issues can compound quickly. Fridges, clothes washers and dryers, and dishwashers are appliances that see the most issues.
