"YAY! Thank GOD for Kaena and his company Lyden Siding! We got dinged on our homeowners insurance for siding that recently warped and exposed the house. Kaena came the next day and gave us a reasonable quote. Set appt for like 12 days out but after me pleading with him, explaining our timing dilemma he made it happen and came with his worker Cheyenne the very next day. Very grateful! Cheynenne is talented and a trooper!! Got the job done within 3 hours and let me tell you, it was BLAZING HOT! Sun beating down directly on him. But it did not affect his work. He's definitely a quality skilled professional. They cleaned up, gave me a requested W9 and a signed receipt. WA-LA, my stress is no more. I was freaking out we might lose our insurance but Kaena & Cheyenne got the job done in plenty of time. YAY!! "

Fiber cement siding is one of the lowest-maintenance options. The material’s formula is resistant to insect activities, moisture, and most physical impacts. Vinyl and aluminium siding is also fairly easy to upkeep. All these low-maintenance options only require basic surface cleaning, caulking, and regular gutter maintenance to prevent water dams from forming. 

One of the most significant downsides to stucco is the installation cost, which is higher than that of many other siding options because getting it to look clean and professional is a labor-intensive process. The easiest way to remove stucco is to use a circular saw with a diamond blade to cut small squares out, pry them off, and then cut the metal lath behind it with tin snips. It’s possible to do everything with a hammer and a crowbar, but it will take significantly longer and will wear you out more quickly. Plus, you’ll have a higher risk of damaging windows, hidden siding, and sheathing if you go the less precise route.

When hiring for your project, look for licensed, insured contractors with experience in stucco removal. Ask them for references, review their past stucco removal projects, and request detailed, written estimates. A reputable stucco removal contractor will explain the entire process, outline all costs, and ensure proper disposal and compliance with local codes.

You can use small bits that are up to 3/8 inch in diameter, or larger bits that are 1/2 inch or more in diameter. Make sure the bits you use are coated with carbide or diamond; this information is usually visible on the package. You can also use hole saw bits to drill into stucco.
