"My appt on October 24th between 12:30-1:30 Devin showed up late for the time frame they set and I agreed to. upon arrival, His energy was off, he came into my home went to the fire place directed me that, he didn't think I should continue to mop my floor. I said you're fine im not moping in the area you will walk in. he took off the particle board covering the fireplace which is when I learned it was covered because it had caught fire.He inspected from inside by putting his iPhone through a gap facing upwards an took a few pictures, when I asked if he was getting on the roof he explained there was 3 levels of an inspection.tier 1 2 & 3. tier 3 he mentioned had a cost $400 and that I only paid for tier 1. tier 1 was $189 which was negotiated when I agreed to the appt it included a full inspection and cleaning. he did get on the roof eventually but never removed that cap, and that's what my hidden video camera shows as well. He charged me $129 for an inspection he didn't do. DO NOT HIRE"

Dryer Vent Cleaning questions, answered by experts

You should not put boric acid into your home’s air vents. While sprinkling boric acid in roach-prone areas is an effective way to get rid of them, it’s not safe to introduce those chemicals into your home’s air system. Instead, put boric acid or diatomaceous earth in a spot that roaches may walk through, infesting them and the rest of the infestation.

You will know if your dryer is overheating by placing your hand on top to feel its temperature. If it’s hot to the touch, that’s a clear sign the dryer is overheated. Other signs include your laundry coming out hotter than usual, a burnt smell when it’s running, or burn marks on your laundry.

It’s possible to clean your dryer vent yourself in most cases, but it’s usually best to leave this important task to a professional. If you make a mistake when reinstalling the vent, you could kink it, which makes it easier for a blockage to form. Instead, call in a professional annually to do a thorough cleaning and an inspection. They will make sure there are no kinks in the vent that could promote blockages in addition to cleaning it. If your vent runs through a wall, you’ll need help from a professional regardless.

Yes, mold can grow in a wet dryer vent. Mold is a type of fungi, and fungi thrive in warm, moist conditions. Dryer vents need to be aired out so heat can escape and moisture can dry. If your dryer vents aren’t properly vented, the trapped heat and moisture will cause mold to grow, and the mold can spread to the dryer and even your clothes. Not only can this leave a musty smell on your freshly laundered clothes, but—more importantly—it also poses a health risk.

Excessive humidity in a room often manifests through visible signs like condensation on windows or walls, a musty or damp odor lingering in the air, peeling wallpaper or paint, and the presence of mold or mildew. Experiencing discomfort due to a consistently clammy or sticky feeling can also indicate high humidity levels.
