"Anthony was kind, courteous and very professional. He quoted me a great price and started work within 2 days. Originally the work was going to take two days but Anthony and Cody completed my drywall repair and painting in one day. They are both super nice and honest people. "Maravilla did a wonderful job on our space. They have great customer service and are very dependable to finish a job. Having been through multiple contractors in the area, I solely relied on them to finish and to do a high quality job. The beauty of my space, I can only attribute to them. I highly recommend their team to get any job completed from drywall to finish."

"We had some drywall holes in the ceiling and also needed drywall hung and finished. My husband is very picky; he goes in with a light at night, looking to ensure work is to his level of perfection. It was an amazing job! Professional, dust-free, using plastic to tape off other areas of the house, floor covered to keep plaster off the onyx floor. The rate was reasonable. They are insured and did things promptly. Highly recommend."

Drywall questions, answered by experts

Very little. One inch of water can stain walls, warp wood, and create a perfect environment for mold growth. One to two inches of water can do significant damage to drywall, insulation, and electrical systems. Anything over that is considered an extensive flood, often resulting in severe structural damage.

When used correctly, drywall patch kits can work well. However, there are limitations. Specifically, these kits can only cover holes up to 5 inches in diameter. For anything larger than that, you’ll need to cut out the affected section of drywall and replace it with a new piece. That’s a far more complicated process that involves buying the right type of drywall, finding the wall studs, cutting into your wall, and screwing the replacement drywall in place.

Yes, drywall nail pops are a common occurrence in homes, both new and old, resulting from the settling and shifting of the structure over time. Though not present in every room or on every wall, encountering nail pops in different sections of a home is not unusual, particularly if the temperature, humidity, or foundation has experienced changes.

A utility knife is sharp enough to score the drywall and it may work in a pinch for outlet box holes. However, one of the best tools for drywall when you need to make exact cuts for an outlet box quickly is a drywall saw. This handheld tool has a longer blade than a utility knife, so it penetrates the thickness of the drywall easily. The design of its handle and the teeth in its blade make it easier to control while cutting quicker than you can with a utility knife.

The best tool for skim coating drywall is a skim coating blade, which can smooth out joint compound in wide stretches. While you could use a smaller drywall knife for skim coating, the smaller size means it’ll take longer to smooth out each section. Instead, consider investing in a skim coating blade for the quickest application.
