- Shumate Air Conditioning & HeatingShumake replaced our aging mainfloor central AC/Gas Heater for an area of approximately 1500 square feet with multiple rooms, halls and enclaves. Our mainfloor had been drafty with expensive gas and electrical bills, plus maintenance was constant. We engaged 5 HVAC companies with 3 which actually responded and performed a per-sale analysis. Shumake did the most complete assessment of our areas, airflow and room utilization. We have an open library as well as an adjacent dining room which had never been properly vented. The unit they installed has been flawless and my utility bills reduced by the promised 25% PLUS we are always in a good temperature for the outside weather - even in the "nook" areas. Additionally, they added a vent to our cold master bath making it tolerable. I can actually read and work the therometer they installed. We found them to be professional and through, especially for a complex and difficult equipment replacement. Their equipment is excellent. with a variable fan option which no other company recommended. They were not the least expensive, maybe even on the higher side of expense. However, I have recouped their differential in less than 6 months. I will use them again for a major installation

"I hired Neli over a week period for 3 different appliances, my dryer, washing machine, dishwasher, and even kitchen sink! I had a fantastic experience:
1. I fixed my dryer with Thomas' excellent remote guidance, changing the timer and the switch! Fabulous guidance Thomas, with lots of money saved! I learned a lot in the process.
2. I determined that there was no dishwasher leak and in the process learned how to check for leaks and trouble shoot for some common repair issues. It cost $40.00 but as I had some water on the floor, I was ready to get a new dishwasher. Now, I am confident that it wasn't a leak and caused by putting in the dishes in a funny manner and not a repair issue. I am using the dishwasher now again with no problem.
3. I determined with Thomas' help that the washing machine had a major problem and could have spun out of control into my wall....no question, it was time to get a new washing machine! This was a well spent $40.00--I even got Thomas advice on purchasing a new washing machine and what to look for.
