"They had to take out a portion of my front wall which was not planned on, and the conic quality of the concrete was not as good as I thought it should be they destroyed the brick wall that they said they would be able to save and I think they also damaged an additional plumbing line, which I’m going to have to have repaired But we did get the leaking stopped, which was the big part of the problem they had to dig up the entire front foundation down to the 8 foot footer and re-waterproof the wall put in a French drain system and a new drainage system for the gutter and a sump pump"

You should plan on waiting at least a year and ideally two to three years after construction before finishing your basement. This will give the foundation time to settle in response to the weight of your home and the expansion of the surrounding soil. This type of sealer protects the surface from water, oil, and gasoline spills.

There are a few downsides to a wet room, the most important of which is the risk of mold growth from the moisture and humidity. Standard bathrooms can have the same issue, but wet rooms are more likely to experience problems because water is less carefully contained. You also have less privacy since the entire bathroom is open, and the room must include waterproofing, which makes wet rooms more expensive to install than regular bathrooms.

If your flood is coming from a septic system or sewer line, breathing in the sewer gasses can be dangerous, so you should vacate.
